My Daily Exercise is Getting My Amazon Packages Off The Porch / myLot

Happy Monday Everyone! it's a bright sunny day here today and it's not quite as cold as I thought it was. I dressed for chilly weather but now I'm too warm and have to change. I'm trying to dress warmer and keep the thermostat lower so it doesn't run up my bill. Who knows what the rest of the winter will bring and I'd rather conserve when I can. Thanksgiving is only a few days away and yet my brain is clogged with all thoughts Christmas. Gues because I don't have to cook for Thanksgiving there's really no pressure. I've been trying to take advantage of some pre-Black Friday deals and trying not to lose track of what I'm ordering. My son in law is a volunteer firefighter and his fire house is doing a Toys for Tots drive. Since my grandkids have all outgrown toys it's kind of fun shopping for some. Christmas is my favorite holiday even though it can be stressful at times. This year I did make a list and I'm checking it twice

I was going to comment on your title but your didn't include that idea in your post. Other than generally. My husband has a lot of things coming and I know what your mean with bringing packages into the house.

I guess my title was a bit off since I really didn't talk much about how many packages Amazon was delivering

@Marilynda1225 I'm doing pretty good. By the end of next year after we pass out business to my daughter and her husband I should be doing a lot better.

It's gotten colder here. Gone are the 60 degree days. Nice that you don't have to cook this year. My email box is chuck full of pre-Black Friday emails telling me of the sales around the stores I usually frequent. I like to dream. Yes, who knows what the rest of the winter will bring.

@Marilynda1225 ........That's a good way to do things. Good luck stretching that dollar. It's getting harder and harder to do. Businesses will do anything to make money. Sending out catalogs will go by the wayside like so many other things sooner or later.

I have a big family so i put myself on a budget at the beginning of the year and earmark a certain amount every month for Christmas gifts. So far its been working pretty well but I"m always looking to stretch that almighty dollar every which way I can. I got a few catalogs in the mail over the weekend which were fun to browse through but certainly not buying anything from them. Actually I was kind of surprised that catalogs are still going out.

You know, I think Christmas is extra special because of the birth of a certain woman I hold dear to my heart. Since Jesus was born in the spring, I don’t think He’d mind if I mentioned you too. You’ll be getting an Amazon package from me soon, too, don’t forget. That is how I’m sending my Christmas cards this year since someone at the post office stole them last year (they were thick so people thought gift cards were inside). I’ll leave a message, and you should feel free to use the card to send to someone else if you want since I won’t be able to write on it. I’m glad it was warmer than you thought it would be. I know cold is so tough on arthritis.

My birthday has always been special and I love celebrating it. I have a few friends who hate when their birthday rolls around. Heck i just celebrate that I made it another year

Its really sad that you have to resort to sending your cards the way you are but it's the way the world is these days I guess. The news is always filled with people getting stuff stollen off their porches.

We're at 54F with rain right now... Pretty and I still need to finish our shopping before Thanksgiving. I told Pretty there were some nice looking smartwatches on sale for Black Friday. She looked at them and said they aren't what she wants. I have no idea what brand or style she's wanting. I told her I need a new pair of jeans but haven't seen any I like in the sales. Have a great day!

I bite the bullet and ask for a wish list along with either a detailed description or better yet a link to the gift itself. Gone are the days when I try to figure to guess what the gift is someone wants. I do manage to find a few small things (for my daughter) that she doesn't know about but her big gift isn't a surprise. Hope you can figure out which watch Pretty wants and that you get those new jeans

@Marilynda1225 Thank you. She'll either find the watch she wants and buy it or she really doesn't want one this year. I tried on jeans from my closet this morning and, since I've lost weight, they fit me! I told Pretty I didn't need new jeans after all.
