Cats Amaze Me

I've grown up around cats and have always had in my life. In the past years I don't like them on my bed or too close to me. Not sure why although I feel more sensitive to their fur and makes me itch. Also, when they walk on my it hurts. So am not real close with the cats we have.
Our five cats(Silver, Mittens, Whiskers, Finn and Colbert) are so sweet and loving. I am not real close with any of them, but I do talk to them daily and acknowledge and pet them if they come into my room. I just read an article that gives behaviors that cats will do when they feel absolute love and security with us. Those are: sleeping near my daughter and grandson, the slow blink, kneading in their laps, exposing the belly, following them around, head bumping, grooming you, setting on your belongings, greeting you at the door, curling their tail around you, purring during close contact, soft meowing, relaxed body language, and the one that really astounds me is that they stay near us when one of us is sick or out of sorts. Any of us cat owners surely have felt and experiences several of these. But, for me I find it very endearing when they know I am down and they will come and want to lay with me or cuddle with me. At any other time that would not be the case, but they seem to sense I am not in a good place either physically or mentally.
Cats. Aren't they something?

Every night Peter cat marches up to my room, makes bread on my side then plunks against me and goes to sleep. Beau Teak is often by my face, harassing me from there. I can't remember the last time I slept without a cat close against me

My daughter and grandson both sleep with them. I don't let them because they get in close in behind my knees and then I can't get up. And, when they walk on my body it hurts.

The cats that live inside the home are very good companions who enjoy their time resting on their beds that my relatives purchased for them.

That's so sweet. They should be treated this way.

I've always had dogs. They are sensitive to moods as well.

Dogs are great. I had a cocker spaniel in my youth. She was born on the same day I was and lived to her 13th year. I've had some great dogs in my life.

@celticeagle I miss having them; but it's too hard to take care of them without my hubby.
