You remember how my sister and her family couldn’t come up for Thanksgiving because they got colds? All week I told myself I had allergies, but yesterday, I could not deny it. After spending a vacation with them, I took home their cold germs too. I told my dad that last night and all he said was, don’t give me your germs. He just kept repeating that.

On the plus side, I don’t have a sore throat, and that is one symptom I am so thankful I have escaped. When was your last cold?

@AmbiePam I spent the first 2 years of teaching perpetually sick. After that I've been good. I never even caught COVID or if I did it never affected me. I always say at this point I could probably snort anthrax and be fine.

@AmbiePam - I was the first year we spent winter in Switzerland and I had lost the habit to cold weather.

I had a cold in September. I have a scratchy throat since going on a visit, but they keep their house warmer than I am used to. I may be reacting to some Oklahoma pollen as well.

When we came back from California to Oklahoma, you could see the allergies come rushing back to my sister and Amyra.

Hope you feel better soon! It's that time of year I guess . . . hope this means you are done with it and have that out of the way for the rest of winter! I'm sure I got sick this year - I just honestly can't think when that was. Interestingly, I think my immune system has gotten boosted in this 2nd year of tai chi - I have less allergies, runny noses, headaches, etc . . . I hope I didn't just jinx myself.

Can't remember my last cold. 99.9% sure that the last troubles I had with my nose was allergies.

I have allergies and problems from hyperthyroidism but don't remember the last cold I had. Pretty and I normally wear masks around other people so we don't get their germs.
