Can you believe it's December already? I can't
Happy Monday Everyone! today looks like a pretty decent day, the sun is shining but it's cold. Had our first snow flurries over the weekend and tomorrow we could see our first snow. Ugh. Hopefully it will just be rain.
The weekend was busy and it just flew by. I know I've been gone for a few days and I wonder what I've missed. Aside from the usual daily stuff that always needs doing, I'm going to enjoy my coffee and chat for awhile. Hopefully no interruptions.
I took advantage of some Black Friday sales (online) and today I've already seen a few things that caught my attention with Cyber Monday sales.
I got my first Christmas card over the weekend and it was from a former myLotter.
I haven't even written mine out yet but they are sitting here on my side table ready for me to actually write them out.
Back in the "old" days I used to send out so many cards and it's funny how times have changed and I send out fewer cards. Makes me wonder if sending holiday cards will eventually become a thing of the past.
That pretty much sums up what's happening here. What's going on in your little corner of the myLot world?

@Marilynda1225 I'll look forward to it.
By the way, with the first snow and the lowest temps of the year, I wore that beautiful scarf you made me and got more compliments on it.

@JudyEv I've gotten half of mine done (yay). Don't know why it's such a chore and I hate to admit it but my handwriting has gotten terrible. I used to have nice handwriting but i guess not writing as much anymore has really made my handwriting suffer. When I was growing up I went to a Catholic school and the nuns were strict when it came to penmanship. They would be shocked if they saw my handwriting now

@Marilynda1225 I have the cards too and probably enough stamps. I just need to knuckle down and do it.

@Marilynda1225 - The two sweaters were part of the Black Friday sales, as well as the Christmas garland. I am planning to buy a new smartphone, no way to update the apps in my old one.

Good morning... It snowed during the night and is still snowing. My car is white and fluffy looking now. There was already a layer of ice on it from the freezing rain we got Saturday night... Thank goodness the forecast is predicting 50F for a high on Wednesday!
Pretty bought a new Shark stick vacuum Friday online and I ordered sunflower seeds. Both arrived this weekend via FedEx. (I accidentally ordered raw sunflower seeds so will need to roast and salt them myself. Luckily, there are several good recipes online I can try.)
I'll need to look and see what Cyber Monday sales look interesting. I can't think of anything I need or want but you never know... I might find something.
I quit sending out Christmas cards years ago. Nobody reciprocated and I got tired of wasting the money to send them.
I need to call Social Security now that the government is working again and see about getting mine started. That should be fun.
Have a great day!

Hope you can get the ball rolling on your social security and get it soon. It's a blessing when that shows up every month.
I love sunflower seeds and sprinkle them on my salads. i never had raw ones but I bet it's easy to roast them. Hope you found some good ideas. There isn't a day that goes by that I wonder how we all existed without the internet and finding whatever we need to know online.

@Marilynda1225 Thanks. I'm still trying to get disability, too. I'd rather have that than Social Security since it pays a lot more and they can't reduce it. But I can also apply for Social Security and then get disability, instead.
Pretty found the different oils we use in cooking and I'm planning on trying each kind with sea salt and different spices. I'll let you know what I like best.

@DaddyEvil I certainly hope you can get disability and save the social security for later on. I'm really perplexed that you haven't been approve for disability already.
Looking forward to which oils your like best.

I will still send out cards even though the postage has become ridiculous. Mine are 99.9% done and in the mail. Not too much going on. Cousin #2 really liked the new lady which is good. #2 will be coming over on Christmas to make dinner again! I like that I will be having company.

I'm happy to hear that the new lady got a thumbs up from cousin #2. Hopefully she'll work out and do a good job for you.
I'm doubly happy to hear that cousin #2 will be coming to cook Christmas dinner and you won't be alone.
You're way ahead of me having your cards ready to go in the mail.

Nothing much is going on here. I’m still battling this cold, but I’m sure it will clear up soon. It was pretty cold yesterday, and today will be chilly, but tomorrow it will be back up into the fifties.
I predict you get another Christmas card Wednesday through Amazon!

I'm glad you're doing better and hope you can kick that cold to the curb.
Its December so it's no surprise that the weather is cold and unpredictable.
Another card on Wednesday? Picture me excited

I got a really cute Christmas card from a current mylotter. I am not sure if it was for birthday or Christmas but I also got a a little card with multiple recipes on it from a realtor. I thought that was different.

Its nice that you got a card from a myLotter and the one from the realtor sounds different. Any recipes look like they're worth trying?
