So, I did a modest amount of running around today, mostly just took some trash out, and went to the bank and Dollar Tree. I was looking for Little Soups for cats, and thought Family Dollar next door might have some. Well, hanging around the store outside was a woman with a sweatshirt, Shorts?? ain't that warm folks, and what looked like kneehighs. I was thinking someone should tell her Halloween is over, when I went in, I see the goofily dresssed woman at the register. I suppose I should be glad she wasn't wearing something skimpy..
. Have you ever seen a strangely dressed employee? I am certain you have as so many seem to think any get up is appropriate...case in point the lady today. I wouldn't wear that around the house, let alone to work..

I can't recall an oddly dressed employee I've seen, at least not for a long while. The lady that wore only a sweater the other day at the store was the worst I have seen for a while, but she wasn't an employee. It's like some people have reached the point that they don't care what they have on, or IF they have much on, at all.

I dress casually, but I do know I am neat and clean, and appropriate for whatever I am doing. It's just how we were brought up, I guess.

I have a couple of cousins that wear shorts year round. They are naturally that warm.

Some people wear sandals when it is close to freezing.

@snowy22315 My male cousin doesn't but he is diabetic so protects his feet because of that. The female cousin walks barefoot in snow

Well, I've done that before, but certainly not at work, and not with knee highs. I think when I have done it is to get sun on my legs. They day might be chilly enough for a sweatshirt, but not so much you are uncomfortable in shorts. This is Dec. 1st in Virginia though not shorts weather unless we have an Indian summer type vibe going on which it is not today.

@snowy22315 Knee highs take it over the top. I’ve probably worn a sweatshirt with shorts, just never in winter.

This wasn't,t a grocery store. They wouldn't have wanted to spring for uniforms.

The temps here hit maybe 45 for a few minutes. I saw a guy walking at a normal pace down the side of the two lane road yesterday. He had a tank top and shorts on. I think he had some kind of footwear on, too. I remember looking at him in the rearview mirror, wondering if his arms and legs were turning red from the cold.

It gets really cold in Morgantown WVA. It's in the mts. Next to PA..and sis said there was a guy who used to walk around the town all year long with shorts on. I saw one during a cold rain once wearing shorts a light jackets and flip flops.

I remember dress codes in school and how they prepared us for when we entered the work force. Now they let kids wear just about anything to school. That leads to questionable outfits when they start to work, don't you think?
