Snow Day

Happy Tuesday Everyone! looks like I'm not the only one complaining about the weather today. Yup, we got that white stuff falling from the sky and it's starting to accumulate. It's not like I have anywhere to go today so staying in is no big deal but just the idea of wintry weather seems too soon. Am I ever ready for winter weather? Nope 
Guess today will be a day to catch up on things. I finally made a menu for our Christmas dinner and will have half of it catered and everyone will bring something so we're set.
It's really hard trying to figure out a menu that everyone likes and can be served buffet style. We're just too many people to sit around the table. I do kind of miss the old days when I had a fancy holiday tablecloth and got out my 'good" china and set a pretty table. Now we eat off paper plates and find a seat wherever.
I have a few small gifts to wrap and get in the mail before it gets too late for them to get there in time.
I'm just bogged down with everything Christmas on my mind. Once December rolls around there's just so much to think about and do.

Well, I called my pain management doctor, and he agreed to make my appointment tomorrow a phone visit since my cold is still hanging around. I’m really ready to get out of this apartment already!
Other than that, I’m trying to do as many surveys as possible to earn money. I think these sites are feeling the economic pinch too because they are offering less and less incentives.
Your Christmas sounds like a very good time. My dad’s family meets at a local church in Tulsa (some of them are members), and we have a potluck in the fellowship hall. Someone always bring pulled pork, ham, and turkey, and there are so many delicious sides. I’m making myself hungry!

That potluck sounds like it's right up my alley. All that food sounds so good. We always enjoy our family Christmas get-together . Its loud but fun.
Glad you were able to switch your appointment to a phone one. I'm sureyou are getting antsy being cooped up in your apartment.
I just got a picture from my son and the snow is coming down fast and furious there. The boys love it because they all ski and snowboard. My son hates it because of all the shoveling and plowing involved. Its nice having so much property until winter arrives

@Marilynda1225 - I learned from him through the years, but now he cannot remember what he needs to do. If at least he would let me do without trying to help, the process would be smoother and faster.

Just doing studies, and I made some calls to some electrian types to install my new thermostat which should be arriving today. This looks like it might be a longer process than I hoped for.

Nothing much going on here. We got another inch of the white crap which doesn't make me happy. I got the cards in the mail, did the bank statements and half of my 2026 calendar. Once I finish the calendar, I will start on the taxes. Yuck.
