How much sn*w did we get? I measure 2.much. Or, as my brother put it, "It's beautiful. Now, leave." Record sn*wfall for us for this date (4.7 inches). Makes me wanna boogie out of here, but alas, I have doctor's appointments. But we CAN boogie. We start a month of boogieing with a song that I think Linda (who put me up to this) would enjoy. Now, understand, I did not consult her on this, so she'll be just as surprised as I am with the results. I just know she won't like mine. Bertha Butt Boogie - Jimmy Castor Bunch Oh, if my mother were alive amid all this "Karen" stuff. There was someone in her family named "Bertha," and she was infuriated by this song's predecessor, "Troglodyte (Cave Man)" for using the name Bertha. About three years after the success of "Troglodyte (Cave Man)," Jimmy Castor and his "bunch" released a "sequel." In the first song, he mentioned "One of the Butt Sisters," and in this one, he named them ("Betty Butt, Bella Butt, and Bathsheba Butt"). The BBC, according to Picky Wedia, claims that Jimmy Castor is one of the most "sampled" artists in R&B history. I'm pretty sure that's accurate, because I can hear about 50 songs starting out with the beginning of this song in theirs. Castor died in 2012, by and large forgotten by the masses but remembered by all the people who liked to laugh a little while they were dancing in the 70s Bertha Butt Boogie Written by Jimmy Castor and Johnny L. Pruitt Recorded by the Jimmy Castor Bunch From Butt of Course, 1975 Everybody did the bump:

We ended up with about 2" total between the snow yesterday and what we got during the night and this morning. Thankfully, everything on the ground/pavement has melted off already. We're at 34F at 1 pm and are supposed to reach about 40F by 4 pm. Luckily, we didn't need to go anywhere yesterday or today. I hope you're being careful if you do get out in the mess.

I went out and fed the squirrels. Wore my hiking boots. Mama didn’t raise no fool.

Never heard this before but it does answer one Q I always had, just where did that phrase 'Bertha butt' come from

I don't know why the child in the pic looks like Little Michael Jackson.

Many soul singers in the 70s went with the Afro look. Some were much more pronounced (Roberta Flack, Billy Preston), but it was a common look in Black men in the 70s.

I llike it but first time I hear it, I think I remember a girl in my school with such a big butt she could have been called Berha Butt

This wasn’t as big as “Troglodyte (Cave Man),” but I like this one better.
