2 December - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good evening from COLD Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. It's 20 F and feels like 4 F. It was a good day. One of those days when I wish I could extend it. I didn't have enough time today. I'm thankful for the time I spent with you this morning, reading and interacting with you. It's always fun and one of the things I missed most in the past several months since I left. I feel like I've come home after a long vacation. I'm thankful for the work I did on Firestorm. My time was cut short, but that's okay. I still got a lot done. I'm thankful for Writer's Guild tonight, the reason everything was cut short. It was our Christmas meeting. We had a book swap Secret Santa and a wonderful activity. The person in charge of the activity had a Santa hat full of prompts to make a story from with the end result, saving Christmas. We were divided up according to the number of tables in the room. There were five of us at my table, so we had five prompts to make a story. It got very interesting. I read a short one page story called Twas the Week Before Christmas. It's a story I wrote last year. It was well received and I gave it to everyone present as a Christmas present. I was one of four readers. Then the book swap. I got an interesting book that was turned into a movie. Eat Pray Love. It should be an interesting read. The room was also at capacity tonight. We're going to look for another place to meet at the next meeting. I just got home. My neighbor is with her sister, so I put Missy out. Tomorrow is another day and another when I won't be home much. It's Rock Painting tomorrow. We'll see what I paint tomorrow. In the mean time, I'm going to thaw out, watch TV and go to bed. What are you thankful for today? Let me know in the comments.
