My kitchen drain was clogged on Sunday night. That's so troublesome to fix it.
In the past I thought the dish washer was nice but now I wonder whether it accelerate the speed of the clogged drain as this is what I found online.
Of course I did make some mistakes such as I didn't clean well the dishes and then put them into the dish washer. And I also let the oily water flow directly to the drain.
I learned online that it's better to use the baking soda and vinegar to the drain once a week to avoid clogged drain. Is it correct? Please share your methods to maintain the kitchen drain and thanks a lot

You are right and I corrected my wrong word in the post. Tonight I already put baking soda and vinegar into the drain. In fact mine doesn't have bad smell but I am afraid it'll be clogged since I didn't pay attention to it before. The fat and oil will cause the drain clogged. I use baking soda and vinegar in order that the fat and oil will be gone and won't grow more stuffs inside the drain.

Baking soda and vinegar. Not the baking powder. Good luck.

There is a product here for clogged drains that I have used. It is called "Drain-O". It does work.

Maybe once a month, I put a cup of baking soda and then a cup of white vinegar into the drain and cover the drain with a plug or a rag and let it work for 15 to 30 minutes before flushing it down the drain with boiling water. If that doesn't work, I call a plumber and let them work on the drain. But the baking soda and vinegar usually clears it very well.
Baking soda, not baking powder.

@DaddyEvil - I paid the plumber and the last time he came to replace the ceramic cartridge of a faucet it costed $ 250, so I used a product.

@youless yes approximately between a 1/2 cup to 1 cup of baking soda and then follow with equal amount of vinegar. Then you have to let it sit for almost an hour, follow up with a kettle of really hot or boiling water to flush it all down. Hope it works for you
