Well, my dad is in the hospital 4 of the people at the Thanksgiving gathering ended up with Covid..including my mom and dad. My mother recovered pretty quickly, but my dad got knocked on his butt. There is a shortage of beds and he is still in the ER, being treated. They aren't planning to give him Paxlovid as that can supposedly cause a rebound effect with some patients that develops days or weeks later. I hope he will be OK, and the hospital stay isn't too long With any old person like that you have to be concerned.

He seems better today. He's walking with a walker .and got some assistance with the phone to call my mother and ask to come home. She said not yet. I think she wants him able to be a bit more mobile. I suggested a walker for home.

@MarieCoyle My nephews..one of them wasn't at work. The other one didn't get too sick..but he was a bit ill before he came. He went through O'Hare so I imagine there were a huge amount of germs there. Sis and Bro in law had Covid in Oct. so they were fine. Friend and I were fine as well, both vaccinated.

I hope so. They didn't even want to keep him in the hospital, but my mother said she couldn't take care of him. He is having trouble getting out of bed, and ended up on the floor, plus was dehydrated so he really needs to be there.
