My plants are thirsty.

I think I forgot to water them last week. My lemon grass looks particularly parched. So you know what I will be doing today. Plus paying bills, And getting in the Christmas frame of mind.

My entire yard has been very, very thirsty due to our drought we've been in for the last several months, but thankfully today we are getting deluged with rain (100% chance all day long). My plants/trees/shrubs will be full after today!

I am glad your drought has been broken. I hope you do not flood.

@GardenGerty We've been so dry that the ground soaked up all that rain as fast as it could fall, so there was no flooding, thankfully.

@GardenGerty Thank you I know you have very cold weather there in your country. We have just the opposite. Plants in pots should not be kept either too cold and too hot.

Best of luck getting into a Christmas frame of mind. I do my work on my desktop PC and have my laptop entertain me with Christmas movies,

We need to buy more parsley and basil. The plants we have are well past their prime.

Parsley is biennial but once it is done it is done. Same for basil although I have sometimes been able to root cuttings of it in water. I love basil and have grown a variety of types.

I did not get it all done, of course, but little by little I am chipping away at it.

There are doing pretty well. If I keep them watered it is good for us as well as it puts moisture back into the air.

My "Thanksgiving/Christmas" cactus is going to reward me very soon with blooms. I think my Kalanchoes may as well.

I still can't push myself into a Christmas frame of mind. Too much time at Walmart being force-fed Christmas months too early still. Maybe one day I can do it again but not yet. Bah Humbug!

Other things have sometimes dampened it for me, but I learned long ago that inspite of everything in our life, Christmas will come.

Oh, it did. Most people just take side shoots off of it and grow new plants, but I decided to try to keep the mature plant alive. I may cut it back in February to encourage new growth.
