Look at that--I have plans for Saturday night

One of my good friends/coworkers texted me to see if I had plans on Saturday night. My response was *and I quote* was HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. 
I was afraid that she was going to ask me to go to a concert or a bar to see a band because. . . no. That is too late for me. She said that she and 2 friends were hosting a cookie swap to honor their late friend who died of an asthma attack several years ago. Yeah I can handle that. She said there will be food, drinks, and even competitions.
Okay here we go. I will have to go through my All About Cookies baking book by Christina Tosi of Milk Bar fame. I love to show off. She said I need to make 6 dozen cookies. 
So I'm going to have to come up with something good. And as much as I love to avoid going places I will definitely attend if I spend the $$ for ingredients for 6 dozen cookies.

I had a circle of lady friends where I used to live that did this. We all took cookies to divide and share to take home, plus we all brought a very small gift for a dirty Santa game. It was a lot of fun.

I know that you love to cook so I suppose that this is the best kind of date you can have. Enjoy! I specially love cookies that have chocolate.

I love a cookie swap but haven't done one in years. It was always so much fun and i got to try cookies I probably wouldn't have. Can't wait to hear which cookie you decided to make
