Wednesday Coffee Talk

Happy Wednesday Everyone! it's hovering around the freezing mark today with a mixed bag of tricks coming our way. Snow, Rain and/or icy conditions. Just a big yuck whatever falls from the sky. Nothing much planned for today. I'm ready for a day off basically. Technically since I'm retired I'm off every day but I need a day to just chill and clear my head. My daughter in laws birthday is next week so I'll mail her card and then have a small gift for her when they come for Christmas. Tonight we're having pasta but haven't decided yet if I want to make meatballs or bread some eggplant cutlets and air fry them. Right now I'm leaning more toward the eggplant but I could easily change my mind. Either way, pasta night is one of my favorites, What do you have planned for today? busy or relaxing/

Partly busy, I made plans for the Christmas lunch and dinner and for the menu for our guests who will come on the 21st. I am painted the Menus for the table.

@Marilynda1225 - It's always a compromise to prepare something nice, but not a "last minute" because you also want to sit and chat with your guests.

@LadyDuck I agree 100% it's no fun spending all the time in the kitchen and not having time to spend with your guests.

Happy Birthday to your daughter-in-law. Pasta sounds good. Meatballs is common. I'd go for the eggplant for something different. I have a mixed bag today - notifications, writing, Bible study, and prayer.

Old Man Winter decided to sent that white stuff here and I'm hoping it all changes to rain and washes it away and of course doesn't get cold enough for it to freeze. I did decide to go with the eggplant and it's one of my favorite meals. Quick and easy

@Marilynda1225 I'm glad you went with the eggplant. I hope you don't get ice if it rains.

My weather's about the same as yours: currently 2°C and raining. All I have planned for today is a guy from the city waterworks is supposed to come by to check the meter. If you end up doing the eggplant, save a piece for me, please.

I pray the sun will shine and warm you and melt any ice or snow in your area, I can't imagine having to live with icy conditions like that.

That's great but I'm sure you tend to worry about those family members in school or working.

I do like the change of seasons but icy conditions gets a big fat thumbs down. Gone are the days when I had to work regardless of the weather so now I can just deal with it from the inside looking out.

Isn't it funny how these days feel so much busier and go by faster than when we worked. I always wonder how I worked a full time job and still found time for everything else

I had plans to go to two pharmacies, the bank, the post office, the grocery store, and the Housing Authority, and I made it every place but one pharmacy. The post office line moved so fast I was able to get a few groceries before my Housing meeting. Thankfully, the meeting was quick too.

Good afternoon. I'm doing as little as possible today. My eyes are swollen from the tests the doctor did yesterday and hurt. I'm up against my laptop screen to read on myLot and am having to take that slowly. When my eyes start to burn, I stop and let my laptop read a book to me while I nap or just rest with my eyes closed. I hope you're having a wonderful day.

It's going to get to 33C (91F) here today so I'll be hoping I can stay indoors. However, I do need some stamps.
