Soup is simmering

When we visited my brother at Thanksgiving the night before we had soup for supper.
It was potatoes, onions, cabbage and smoked sausage. I have been meaning to make some ever since. I even bought some cabbage.
Bob shredded the cabbage for me today. I got the sausage out of the freezer. In addition to above ingredients, I added carrots, celery, some beef bouillon, a splash of Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder and bay leaves. It is simmering merrily along on top of the stove. We shall eat in a half hour.

I hope you enjoy it. 
I fry sausage and onions with garlic powder and other spices, then add shredded cabbage. YUM! (Pretty doesn't like the odor of cooking cabbage so I don't make it very often and make a huge batch when I do make it. Then I freeze most of it so I can have it later without her complaining about it. 
)

Soup sounds good to me! I have a container of infamous potato soup in the freezer, and since it’s going to be cold this weekend I may fire up the crock pot and make some more.
