Do you dry clean anything?

I had gotten a gorgeous sheepskin rug (for free), and I put it down for three days when unexpected disaster struck. Yes, my stomach contents emptied (I’m fine, I promise). I briefly considered dry cleaning, but wasn’t sure they could do anything, plus I don’t have the money for that. I was initially bummed, and then I started thinking, when was the last time I had anything dry cleaned? I just don’t buy items that need to be dry cleaned.
Incidentally, a few days ago I came across one that looked exactly like the ruined one, but was not real sheepskin. So it is able to be cleaned via washing machine. I got it free too, and feel much better about it being around.
Do you dry clean things a lot?

Back in the 1980's and 1990's when I wore suits to work I dry-cleaned a lot. But not in the last 20+ years. I did find a product at the grocery store where you can "dry clean" your own stuff in your own clothes dryer at home using a special bag that has chemicals in it.

@AmbiePam Here, I found them at Wa-lMart just now searching online for them. This is the brand I used. Here's a link:

@AmbiePam I even usually wash that by hand. I am looking at sites and mostly they say a hand wash is best for a sheepskin rug using a "wool wash". I do not know, but suppose Woolite falls into that category. Air dry, and when fully dry brush the fibers to fluff, using a wool brush OR a dog brush.

Never have dry cleaned anything. Your sheepskin rug could maybe be washed up with gentle soap in the bath tub. I do not know for sure.

Most people just don't dry clean much anymore, I know we have very few dry cleaners here. I use one of those dry cleaning kits--I think mine came from Target. It's been maybe 2-3 years since I purchased it and used it, but there are more uses left if I need it.

I think the last thing I dry cleaned was a blanket. It cost more to dry clean than it did to buy
but I was glad to do it.

No, we don't dry clean anything. The last things we had dry cleaned were our leather coats back around 10 years ago. It took much longer to dry clean the coats than "normal" dry cleaning. They came back looking great!

I haven't dry cleaned anything in 50 years. I make sure not to buy anything that needs to be dry cleaned. Sorry you got sick.

The only clothes I dry clean would be my suit or anything labeled dry clean only. Haven't had to but like everything else I'm sure it's expensive to do.
