No excuses, really, just exhaustion last night.
Yesterday I swam with the Structured Class. (High needs students) and I have not been in a pool in six months.
Wrestling a slippery fish of a kiddo and trying to get him to do lessons was very tiring.
Right now, with only a day and a half until Christmas Break the academics we have are mostly being disguised as Holiday Work.
For instance, we did a candy cane exchange in 2nd grade. The REAL purpose was to practice "left and right". Everyone started with a candy cane. They sat in a circle around a rug. The teacher read a story and each time you heard the word "right" you passed your candy cane right, and the same for the word "left". Sometimes you heard several "rights or lefts" in a row.
It was fun. At least one of the students I regularly help could not keep the directions straight. He will learn.
So the countdown of hours has begun, but I will stay in Marion after work tomorrow just due to the fact I have a doctor's appointment afterwards.
For a weather report--we are in a fire warning condition, with dryness and huge gusting winds.

Do they still put an "R" and an "L" on kids hands for that? I remember seeing little kids get on the bus to go home with the letters printed on their hands.
I've been wondering where you were at. I'm glad you're just tired and nothing is wrong.
It's storming here with high winds. It's 57F and supposed to be getting colder starting around noon.

I would have to concentrate hard to do that exercise. I'm pretty hopeless with left and right unless I've had time to sort it out first.
