California is famous for high gas prices relative to the rest of the Nation.
When I got back from Montana in August, Regular was about $4.50/gallon at my "discount" station, just as it had been when I headed North.
But over the past month or two, prices have dropped substantially,
They hit $3.99 a week or so ago and have now dropped to $3.69.
Apparently, the gas distributors have switched from their" Summer mixture" to their "Winter mixture," the latter of which is cheaper to produce.
Are gas prices dropping where you live?

I only buy gas once a month for our car and can't remember what I paid a month ago. Right now it's $2.17 at Murphy's.

Prices are not down but yes, Oil companies are covering up more on the losses they made years ago when International Crude prices were above 110 USD.
Plus the Government is collecting good enough amount as taxes.
The concept of Winter and Summer mixture sounds quite interesting but is not followed here.
