I cannot do bugs.

I got a survey today about bugs, and I immediately exited the survey. I cannot do bug surveys anymore. One of my neighbors had bed bugs. The inspection showed no one else in the building did, but I fogged my apartment anyway because I am not going to deal with them. Living in an apartment, if your neighbor has a problem with bugs or mice, it can easily become your problem. I guess it’s in my head now because I cannot stand looking at any pictures or talking about it.
Anyone get similarly grossed out? My place is going to remain spotless so I don’t have to worry about it (hopefully).

Sadly you can pick up bedbugs about anywhere. I found one crawling on me while in a waiting room.

@AmbiePam All it takes is someone being there before you that had one on them

I don't think anybody enjoys pests, but some are probably more skittish than others. I take that back Nico says pests float his boat!

@snowy22315 I can totally see that!
My best friend’s cat will sit on her porch in the summer, and have a blast swatting at the moths. Which is fine with her; no one else wants to sit in the thick, humid air. (She lives in the country so the moths are ‘a plenty).

Bugs bug me too, those and snakes.
I cannot think nor read or look at anything pertaining to them.
I know that some pests can be neighbourhood related.
We had a neighbour across the road from us at our last place, and he had moles.
He must have disturbed their next because all of a sudden our neighbour beside us (further from the original neighbour) had them in his home and we could see them outside in our flower beds.

@AmbiePam We had to change alot of our habits.
In the summer, we had a tendancy to keep the garage doors (that you drive the car into) open a couple of feet just allow for fresh air to come in, but that was an invitation to the moles, so we had to remind ourselves constantly to shut those doors.
We did our best to rid our yard of the moles humanely.

When we lived in the duplex and somebody moved in or out of the other side, we always got roaches or mice... I'd call an exterminator to get rid of them. Nasty people! Roaches gross me out!
Last spring an exterminator came to our door and claimed all the neighbors had roaches and wanted me to let him spray our house. I asked him the name of his company so I could call them and yell if him spraying every house around us sent the roaches to us... You never saw a guy more shaken by my aggressiveness over not wanting bugs here! We've never had them here and I certainly don't want them!

@DaddyEvil I got angry about the bedbugs because the apartment manager said they’d give the neighbor a week to get rid of them before getting involved. Say what? No, you don’t leave it up to that guy. You immediately spray and treat his apartment, and the surrounding apartments. But they didn’t. And when the inspector comes in a few months I plan on telling them about that, and everything else they skirted responsibility for.

@AmbiePam I would get angry. Pretty screams at me to kill any bugs she finds in the house, as if she's not a grown up and could kill them herself. She wakes me up screaming about bugs! (She finds spiders in the bathtub, once in a great while.)

I find the idea of headlice to be creepy. I tolerate bugs and bug discussions, but I am more comfortable with snakes, because they are bigger and easier to see.

I don't have bugs and I don't want them. But I do totally understand your feelings, I want nothing to do with bugs in the house. OR mice. No one in my complex has mice, nor do I. I simply detest mice.

It must not have been there long, as usually if you see one mouse there are more hiding. I am glad you caught it quickly!
