I Almost Cried

I was sitting on my couch when a friendly knock sounded on my door (yes, a knock can be friendly). I thought it was my dad because it was a playful knock. Instead, it was two teen boys from that church that brings by sack lunches to my low income apartment complex a couple of times in the summer and a couple of times in the winter. They gave me a sack lunch, and then told me they had a Christmas present for me. Behind me were bags filled with presents: a wrapped box of toys for each resident, a popcorn tin for each resident, and what you see in the picture (everything you need to make hot chocolate awesome). I almost cried. I thanked them, and they said they were just trying to show the love of The Holy Spirit.
It was so touching. You get so used to people looking down on you that when you have people you don’t know, a group of people, show they care about you no matter where you are in life, it gets your heart.

Such a sweet and kind gesture. I love hearing things like this. It will get cold again, and the hot chocolate will warm your soul.
