The Results of My Ugly Christmas Sweater

So, weeks ago (so why would you remember) I talked about this long sleeved “ugly” Christmas shirt I got free. At first glance, I thought, this isn’t ugly, it’s borderline cute. But then I REALLY took a look, and it is indeed ugly. Well, I wore it several times, and everyone told me how cute it was. I thanked them, but pointed out the ugly aspects. They all disagreed, and said it was cute. I think people are too polite to say anything or they think you’re seriously going for cute and decide to compliment with the benefit of the doubt. Did you wear any ugly OR cute Christmas sweaters, shirts, or outfits this year?

No, I don't see the point of "ugly Christmas sweaters". I also don't see a picture of your sweater to know if it is ugly or cute.

NO, I almost bought one, because it had a cat dressed as Santa on it, but I finally gave up.

Only a few years back, I came to know about "Ugly Christmas" Sweater. I have seen some pictures but that's it. I do not however want to take any more sweaters as I have enough for 2 to 2.5 months of proper winters we have. And I rely on Jackets fir Windy and very cold days.

School always has a few dress up type days. I got rid of my ugly Christmas sweaters long ago. For that day I wore a sweater vest that has assorted applique snow men and lots of beads and sparkly things. I have a T shirt with a cardinal and bird house that says "There's No Place Like Home for the Holidays" it is just screen printed. I wore that with some soft knit pants for pajama day. I bought (thrifted) a really cute and simple short sleeved tunic length top that is gray. It has a few red sparkly snow flake shapes and says "Oh, deer" in white applique. The "O" is a stylized deer head and has antlers. I only got to wear it once.

It sounds really cool, and not ugly at all.

I do, I have one on now, but I think it is cute..it is a red fleece with that says Silent Night, in small letters and has some silver trees on a blue background. I refuse to consider my Christmas wear as ugly, but I admit some of it is probably outdated...and or cheap.

Are you kidding? Yours sounds great! Mine is an ugly green with a cute, sleeping puppy on the front with an adorable kitten. But on the back are a bunch of hissing kittens. It is worthy of an ugly Christmas sweater. But it is NOT the one I was supposed to be sent. I was supposed to get a green one with Santa riding a dinosaur eating a piece of pizza. That, my friend, is an ugly Christmas sweater!

My outfit is not really that good, but when I go shopping alone I make sure to choose the most comfortable one. I am not really into clothes.

Not really because I'm so behind on the laundry. One thing I continue to wear (wearing it right now) and will until it get's dirty is a sweatshirt that says: "Silly Santa, Christmas is for Jesus."

I used to have a Christmas sweater. I wore it a few times. When neighbor Dale’s wife was alive, she thought mine was so pretty. I gave it to her, she wore it for her remaining two Christmases.

@AmbiePam She had terribly painful esophageal cancer, and was tube fed for well over two years. She loved to read, so I took her books she liked that I had here, and rotated them in and out so she would always have something to read. There really wasn't much I could do for her. She was so sweet.

I don't care what clothes people wear, whatever they want. The most important thing is that the person has good manners and doesn't look down on people. That's what I respect the most.

No, I stopped wearing sweaters back 20 or so years ago when I started overheating thanks to Graves' Disease. I used to love sweaters but see no reason to buy them anymore. We don't go anywhere or see people except for doctors and whoever is in the grocery store while we're there.

Everyone has a different tastss or likes. They may be subjectively or objectively. There's a saying that beauty depends on the beholder.
