Casino getaway

Went to Atlantic City for a few days with my mom and my uncle and his wife. We stayed at Borgata hotel and casino. Nothing for me to do there but sleep, eat, and play the slots. Still, I had fun. And I actually left the casino with $55 in winnings, which surprised me because I thought I was in the negative. Perhaps part of the reason I didn’t lose money in the end is because when I played the slots if I was $10 or more over my initial deposit into the machine I’d cash out and insert new money to play with. And of course winning big amounts helped as well. I will say that playing slots for hours can be tiring and leave you with a heavy head, especially when you’re near people that smoke. I tried to avoid playing in the smoking area but I still had to pass it in search of machines I wanted to play at. Got to have birthday dinner at Old Homestead Steakhouse. I did that in 2022 as well when I went there with hubby for my birthday. The food is delicious. The place is expensive but you get what you pay for. I even had leftovers to take home.

I do that too. If I get a win over the amount I initially put in the machine, I cash it out and start over. Believe it or not, this DOES work.

I don’t do that usually if I’m very little over the initial amount. Like if I put in $20 and I’m at $23 I probably won’t take it out and keep playing.

Thank you. It was short but still had a good time for the most part. And I didn’t lose any money, which is a plus.

I have been gambling in years. Nice that you came away in the positive. It's nice restaurant-wise when you do get what you pay for. Happy New Year!

I haven't played these machines in ages. I'm glad you came out on top. That's always a good feeling.

I've never been to Borgata b/c it is not on the boardwalk. I have no use for AC in general now except for the Carmine's restaurant in Tropicana. I used to like going there to hit up the LUSH shop and for dinner but LUSH is gone now. I don't think the Pier Shops are open any longer either. Gambling bores me.

I prefer staying on the boardwalk as well. My uncle and his wife were going to Borgata so I had no choice but to stay there.
