Amazing Cat Island

This is one of the most amazing things I discovered on the net. There is an island known as Tashirojima, where cats outnumber the people that live there. It is located in Japan and has become known as “Cat Island.” The local residents think that these cats represent luck and good fortune, and so they take care of them and feed them. The cats have become like royalty.
Despite the fact that the residents think that these cats will help their lives improve and prosper, in the past 50 years the human population of this island has gone from 1,000 residents to fewer than 100. So the dominating population is now the cat population. The good news for these cats is that there are still people to take care of them, and dogs are not allowed on this island. In a way the cats have started bringing in luck, and tourism has started to pick up on Cat Island as it becomes an attraction for the curious.

With the cats reproducing and the population becoming less, soon the cats won't get enough food and will overrun the island.

I have seen info. about this place before. I hope people will keep feeding them. Someone should probably do some spaying and neutering though because the population could easily get out of control...and more than the people who feed them can deal with.

i think i watched a documentary about one japanese youtuber who went there and i've seen everything close. it was fun and glad for the cats
