I Made Him Mad

I caught him leaning over the fence to eat hay again this afternoon. He has a bunch in the pasture but doesn't want it. So I found some fence wire and extended the stretch of electric so he can't. George horse watched me while I was doing it
. He checked it several times before going to his hay. Plus kept looking at me.
I got the thermometer put back in the window today. Once it was out of the snow it raised 6 degrees in a few minutes. We got to 45 today. With the sunshine a lot of the white crap melted away. I can see grass again.
Hope you had a good day.

Oh, this brings to mind the old saying ''the grass is always greener on the other side'' In George's case, evidently the hay on the other side of the fence tastes better than the pasture hay.
George sounds like a smart fellow, checking the fence and watching you...If you ever wake up and there is an electric fence around the house, you'll know he was really paying attention!

It's always true it seems. I wouldn't mind if he didn't have hay in the pasture.
If that happens I will make money sending him to work for others

I can see he's calling you all kinds of unkind names in his head.
We topped out at 65F this afternoon. I stepped outside twice today to bring in FedEx packages. I have no idea what Pretty ordered this time.3 people like this

@wolfgirl569 True... One huge box and one relatively small box. I haven't seen anything new in the house yet.
It is 60F at 11:45 am. I stepped out to check the mail today.

He can be a pain. He knows what the wire does.

He will get over it.
. There is obviously something different in that bale that he likes.

Yesterday was ok. I worked on my best friend's diamond painting, but I almost didn't get to do it because the cord I had used wouldn't work. I had to use another cord. I also opened my paint by number kit. I will start on it tomorrow. It's smaller than I thought which is fine because it will be perfect for the living room wall.

Well, George is very determined to get the better “hay” although he has plenty in his own pasture. Horses are sometimes not shy about showing it. I think it was smart solution to extend the electric fence. Well, checking fence several times before finally giving in feels are little cautious and funny as well. Moments like this show animals are aware and expressive. The way he kept looking at you makes it seem like he was testing whether the rules might change. Forty-five degrees with sunshine probably felt wonderful after all that snow. Watching the snow melt and seeing grass again can lift the spirit more than we sometimes realize. Even small signs of change can bring a sense of relief and hope. I had a similar day with simple tasks, small victories, and quiet observations. I hope the rest of your evening is calm. enjoy the rest of the day!

He is very smart. I have to use certain snaps to keep the gates locked as he figured out some of them.
