69 days until spring. It will be above freezing into next week; and then around Thursday it will drop below freezing again.
The contractor that did my roof and overcharged me for some projects at the house came yesterday. He went up on the roof and couldn't find anything that could be banging. He said it could be a vent. He gave me an estimate of $8,500. He is over the other estimates by about $7,000. I guess he thinks I'm a chump.
Today is Carvana day.
I am in the process of narrowing down my choices for the lighting fixtures and doorbell camera. I have also decided to replace the lockset on the front door.. It's a problem trying to get in the door.
Breakfast - PB&J sandwich
Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Chicken breast, sweet potatoes, mac and cheese, spinach, Mandarin oranges. There are too many things in the MOW lunches that I'm not supposed to eat.
Dessert/Snack - Nature's Bakery Brownie, apple crumble pie, 70% dark chocolate
Dinner - Leftovers from our New Year's dinner - Pork tenderloin, broccoli, sauerkraut, stuffing

I would like to have a doorbell camera. That's nice and the pork tenderloin sounds good. I'm getting hungry.

@LindaOHio .........IT would be nice to have. I don't answer the door so when the kids aren't here it would be very helpful.

I've been wanting a doorbell camera for a long time. I bought one that had a separate screen when I didn't have a smartphone; but it had to be charged. The new one I bought is hard wired and I now have a smartphone.

@LadyDuck I think he did. He climbed up on the roof to see if he could figure out what is banging. He thinks it's the vents. There are gale warnings again for today which means I will have to listen to the mystery banging again.

He gave me a decent price on the roof and did a good job; but he overcharged me on some other things he did for me; and also overcharged with his current estimate.

I'm sorry that happened. I hope you never use him again! I would be very unhappy about that.
I ate chicken taquitos for breakfast yesterday, made steak and steamed veggies (from a frozen pouch) and had about half the steak and veggies left over for another meal. I made chicken patties for supper last night and ate it in a sandwich. Delicious!

It's so unfortunate that happened but I think it's a mess they can mend since he's the one responsible for the roofing and should know better about the venting and everything that he's tryna explain. And that's lot of money he's [proposing I hope you get your repair done at a subsidized price.

I’d be telling that roofer to take a hike.
Cheese & chicken-stuffed baked potato for lunch, chicken veggie soup for dinner. Apple fritter (fake), yogurt, fiber! And a peppermint patty!

We talk about today as usual after I get my groceries I start slow, I had an ice cream sandwich and then black forest hame slices on NY rye bread with a slice of tomato and a splash of Italian dressing, My freezer is full.

You are doing quite a bit of remodeling and improvements on your home Linda. I'm sure it makes you feel good to get things done and working properly.
Nice comfort food there- chicken, mac and cheese, and sweet potatoes should provide a warm feeling to get through this winter season.
