A Big Saturday Hello!

Happy Saturday Everyone! what a surprise...it's another rainy day here (ugh) guess it's better than freezing cold and ice.
Usually I'm not here on the weekends but my daughter had to go over to my older daughters (they're away for the weekend) and feed the cat. She's also going to do a grocery pickup so while she's gone I figured I'd pop on and say hi.
My son came alone yesterday (grandson had to work) and got some of the things done on our list. He'll be back another day to tackle some of the other things but there's no rush. It was kind of nice having him to myself and we had a nice visit plus I got some extra hugs 
Even though I slept in a little later than usual this morning I'm tired. Guaranteed there's a nap after lunch.
As you can see, nothing much going on here. How's your weekend going?

Happy Saturday - and Happy New Year to you and your family!
Hope the holidays went well for you. For us it was heavy rain then, now we are sunny but with chilly super wind. We stayed in today too - don't want to deal with outdoors. Sometimes "nothing much" is good

@Marilynda1225 This morning I heard on the news we are going to dip back into the low 70s next week. Here, Mother Nature can't seem to make up her mind - although maybe she's done with the wet stuff. Oh yes, that'd be great to pick out the weather - like a fashion accessory - weather to go with my outfit

Happy New Year! can you believe we're almost half way through Jan already! Our weather has been cold and rainy more than snowy. Seems as if even your area is having less than ideal weather.

@much2say too hot too soon isn't good either especially if it's too dry. Wouldn't it be great if we could pick the lknd of weather we want

It was nice to pop in over the weekend. Maybe I'll do it more often
I like my new laptop except the keyboard is silver and hard for me to see the keys. I haven't mentioned it to my daughter as she would feel really bad. My other laptop had black keys with white numbers/letters and it was so easy to see, My eyes aren't as good as they used to be

Braving cold weather and getting some needed rest after a hectic week.
If rain helps in feeling better than snow and more cold, it is good.
But of course, you would be well prepared for the cold weather.

Yeah just like we somehow just "manage" to survive 45 C + temperatures in the Summers, but never get fond of them.

I still have to get working on the jigsaw I got for Christmas.
We only run our dishwasher very few days too and do the rest by hand.

I was happy with what my son was able to get done but he had a paying job to get to so he didn't have as much time to spend here as he would have liked. Heck I can't compete with a paying job

Slow, with plenty of rain. I am going to have to go to the car in a minute and bring a few things in. I don't want to go out there, but really have no choice.

Pretty quiet here. Went to pharmacy to pick up prescription and to Big Y for a couple groceries, that's my big weekend. I did get one of the grandsons to put up a new rack in my room to hang purses, lol

It's beautiful and sunny here but the temp is only 47F this afternoon.
We had heavy clouds this morning but they've mostly cleared off now. We still have a chilly breeze blowing, though.
Not much happening here, either. I did cook two Philly cheesesteak sandwiches for breakfast this morning and will do some more cooking this evening.
I'm tired and ready for a nap this afternoon

@Marilynda1225 Thank you. Today was another sunny day. I sat out on the front porch reading for 4 hours before it started getting dark and too cool to sit out there. (The mechanic came to take my car battery in to be recharged and check the electrical system today. I was waiting for him to bring me a battery back. He didn't show up again.)
