I have had a rickety stool by my bed for years. I made a comment about it and how I was afraid it might collapse at some point. Josh made the comment that a neighbor had given them an end/side table when she moved. They had it downstairs but didn't really need it. It's a nice piece of furniture. Yesterday he brought it up. My daughter wiped it down for me today and we put it in place of that poor old stool. Not sure what we will do with that but now I have a nice new (to me) side table by my bed for all my miscellaneous accoutrement that I need. (A girls got to have what a girl's got to have.)

Again, I wished you lived closer to us. We have several nice steel and glass tables stored in our garage. I could have given you one of those end tables if the cost of shipping wasn't so high. (We're using one of the end tables in the kitchen to hold bags of onions, oranges and potatoes to keep them off the floor but there is a match to that table in the garage.)
I'm glad you've got something to replace the rickety stool in your room.

Nice of you to think that way.
Yeah, that stool was beginning to concern me.

@celticeagle It wouldn't hurt us if you could use them and we could get them to you... Hopefully, we'll never need to move again. They'll just be left out there. One of these days we'll need to do something with all the stuff we're storing out there. That old garage doesn't look to have many years left before it will need to come down.

I love flat surfaces. I can crap them up in a heartbeat.

Enjoy your nice bed side table and now you don't have to worry about the rickety old stool collapsing. That was really nice that Josh gave your the table.

That's for sure. It's huge, so much bigger than what I am used to using.

We bought some chairs and tables recently, although we have a dressing table, a few tables and five armchairs that my father had purchased from the British when we got independence and they were leaving for Britain. They auctioned their furniture and my father purchased them . They are, in a way, antics.

@celticeagle We now don't need beds. My sisters are married now and the beds we have now are sufficient for my family
