Fear is something that is unpleasant. Fear is a danger. Fear is being afraid . Fear is when you panic. Fear is when you are scared . People fear being wrong. People fear they might believe a lie . Fear is not knowing. Believe in yourself. Do not let fear control your life.

We cannot always control fear, there are situation when it's impossible not to be in panic. Imagine being caught in a serious fire and you cannot find a way to escape!

@jstory07 - Even being trapped in a snow storm is a bad situation, after a few hours not seeing someone to come to help you start to panic. That is something I experienced, so I know.

At times I try to step away from my fear and question why I'm scared and what that fear says about me.

Whatever it is, there will always be something to fear. The real question is how much power we allow that fear to have over us. Too much fear can be paralyzing—it can hold you back, stop you from moving forward without you even realizing it. When fear becomes constant, it doesn’t just stay in your head, your body starts reacting too—stress, tension, sleep problems, even physical pain. And when that goes on for too long, prolonged, constant fear, that’s often when mental and emotional issues start to show up like anxiety disorders or depression.

When you fear something you should think about why you fear what you fear,

When I do feel fear, I try to reason it out as to why I feel that way about whatever it is. Some people are so afraid of everything in life and so many ''what if's'' that they don't live their life, I would never want to do that.

@jstory07 Judy, so do I. Life is so short and we need to celebrate happiness whenever we can.

Sometimes fear can be a good thing. It keeps us from driving off cliffs or stealing a million dollars, or putting ourselves in danger in other ways.

I try to tackle certain fears . . . but other fears are feelings I have of things I have no control over. Fear can be stressful.

You said it well. Fear is not something to laugh about. If I feel fear stepping I step back and try to analyze things. It usually helps.

The worst fear is dying as we do not know what lies ahead despite whatever we believe in. Other fears can be overcome. We all worry we should not be incapacitated for long in old age.
