I'm A Big Fan Of Online Shopping

Happy Wednesday Everyone! the sun has disappeared once again and today we'll be getting rain and then a wintry mix. Just another fun day weather-wise. Tomorrow we have a pick-up scheduled for donation. I'm hoping the weather doesn't interfere with that because I'm so ready to get rid of the boxes taking up room by the front door. Tonight is pasta night so the crockpot is going to be doing 99% of the work making the sauce today. I'll make a double batch and freeze half for another day. This is probably going to be an expensive grocery shopping this weekend as I have stuff in the Sams Club cart, some stuff in Walmart, a few things on sale at our local Giant supermarket and I know that Shoprite is doing their can-can sale but I haven't looked at their flyer yet. Online grocery shopping has become a full time job putting things in and out of carts from one store to the next depending on who has the best price. I know I'll be spending extra if I can stock up on some of those sales. Next decision will be pick-up or delivery. It's really convenient being able to sit here and do all my shopping online. No wandering from store to store. Can't say there's much happening here. The holidays were fun but they wore me out and I'm perfectly happy having a quiet day and week. How's your day going?

I have never shopped for groceries online but think it would be nice to do it that way. I bet it does keep you busy with switching things from cart to cart. I am just going to work around home and be here to visit with everyone.

It's a huge convenience being able to shop online for groceries rather than having to wander through the store (or stores) looking for bargains. Plus it's a big time saver. Hope your day went well

@Marilynda1225 I might just have to try it. It would save me time. I have had a good day. How was yours? I have my son's dog here right now and I am loving it.

@velvet53 My day was good and I'm just waiting for my daughter to finish work so we can have dinner. We have a small dog and she is great company. Glad you're enjoying having your sons dog there.

We had storms last night and still have really dark clouds looming in the West but it's bright and sunny right now. (We started the day at 45F but then the temp dropped this morning during the storm down to 40F and is slowly moving back up. It's 43F at 1:50 pm.) I've got hamburger patties ready for the stove and have sliced shallots to be fried in olive oil for our veggie on the burgers for either late lunch or supper tonight. It will depend on what Pretty feels like when she wakes up. I was reading until a little while ago. (My phone battery complained it was less than 15% so I'm charging it while visiting on myLot. )

@Marilynda1225 Pretty decided we'd have the burgers for supper. I slept through late lunch and so did she. I went in and cooked them as well as cooked the shallots and made fried green beans for our supper... I make pasta at least once a week, too. It just depends on what I feel like cooking what I make each afternoon/night. It did, thank you. I hope you enjoyed your day, too.

It is nice to be able to grocery shop online. It seems like so long ago when we couldn’t do that. I was supposed to take Sadie to get groomed today, but that got moved to tomorrow. I guess I’ll just stay out of the blustering wind today. It’s shaking the windows.

@Marilynda1225 I can’t imagine how painful that would be. You and I would need a scooter, but we both would be self conscious probably.

I’m doing well. The weather’s getting colder here, and it’s supposed to start sn*wing in a couple of hours. I’ll be home, drinking hot tea by then. I still go to the store for groceries, but I’m enjoying life on Amazon more and more. I also appreciate buying things at other stores and picking them up. Especially this time of year, where flu is running rampant. (My niece has it right now. )

You are so right about flu being rampant and fi you can avoid going into a store it's a huge plus. I do love Amazon and I actually have a package on my porch that I have to go out and get. Our weather doesn't look very favorable the next day or so.

I placed my first online grocery shopping the past Saturday and I received what ordered on Sunday. I will never order fresh food (vegetables, fruits, meats) online, but I like to order dry and heavy stuff.

I do all my shopping online. I'm glad I have that option. I fill up my cart at Walmart; and cousin #2 picks up my groceries every Monday. Nothing going on today. Tomorrow Terminix will be coming to check up on the mouse situation. Eww

We have a donation pick up scheduled for Friday. I hope the weather cooperates too. We got our groceries for the second part of the month on Monday. We get ours from Albertson's since Walmart made too many mistakes back when we used them. I love shopping online too. It is so convenient. We've been doing it since COVID. Me being a recluse it is very convenient indeed.

I did online for a year while George wasn't driving. I'm glad to be back to in-person shopping.

I have to admit once I get to one store I get everything I want at the one time. Prices don't really vary much here and what we save, we'd spend on petrol getting from place to place. I understand that shopping online it's perhaps easier to compare prices, etc. I buy specials and/or get double if the price is really good.
