The data from my smart watch indicated problems last night. Needless to say, my numbers were in the toilet because I was sick. It showed my wrist temperature, heart rate, and breathing off…not to mention only recording about three and a half hours of sleep.
Yep, that s a SMART watch!
I can’t thank you all enough for the sweet words, prayers, and concerns. I’ve had a 24-hour stomach bug before, but 24-hour covid?!
Today I’ve felt like I have a cold or allergies (I’m sneezing A LOT). And, naturally, I’ve been resting in bed for much of the day. You just cannot beat rest as medication for an illness.
Off to nap, or maybe extended sleep. Y’all have a great night. Thanks again.
The photo is the birthday cake from earlier this month. We took to turning it around so it looked like she was 36 instead of 93.

You know how when you have a cold you have that “nasty” day or two when it feels like everything is trying to get out of your system? That’s where I’m at right now.
Oh, that cake trick will also work when you’re 81.

@FourWalls Hopefully another day or two will make all the difference to your cold.
Of course 81 will work! Why didn't I think of that? And that's pretty close for me. In 2027 I'll be able to have a cake with 18 on it!

I’m feeling “worse” in that it’s getting out of me, but it causes discomfort as it leaves. I usually feel “worst” when I’m “getting over” a cold.

I appreciate the prayers. I am so thankful for my friends who pray for me (and others) in times of illness. It’s a true blessing to have people like that!

I hope you feel better soon. Last month I was really sick with cold and cough. I'm much better now.

Thanks so much. I’ve been sleeping a lot (as evidenced by the fact that I haven’t posted my daily discussions!) and keeping an eye on the stats (temp and oxygen). Nice and boring, but at least I’m prepared to be sn*wed in this weekend.

Rest can be so healing. I am glad to know you are taking good care and trying to rest. I’m sure you would rather be in the new car on a road trip than sick in bed!! I hope your Covid takes a big hike really soon!!

I feel better, and yet I’m “worse” because I’m sneezing a lot. That’s usually (with a cold, anyway) the things “getting out of your system,” so I feel worse from all the sneezing. Dang, I broke a rib sneezing one time!

Wow, breaking a rib sneezing, that takes some serious sneezes!! And I know broken ribs can really hurt. Covid seems to hit people in so many different ways. I’ve known people who never coughed or sneezed, people who ran dangerously high fevers, and yet others have no fever at all. I hope you have what you need to get through the stormy time that coming. And I hope you can keep on resting as I know that rest is a great medicine.

The VA was so understanding. I had to cancel an appointment today, but they said “no problem, get well quickly.” NO WAY would I go up there while showing positive for covid.

This cake looks like a huge taste bomb. My aunt is 93, too, and I would love to do this with her, but she is so far from me. Nothing beats rest when you're under the weather.
I remember whenever my mother-in-law was unwell, she would just sleep the whole day. I cannot stay in bed like this. I miss talking with my family, and if possible, making a cup of tea for myself.
A bug can be very distressing, and covid phew, don't even get me started on that. I pray you recover soon, but till then, take ample rest

Believe me, I don’t like being cooped up in the house. But I have to rest, and I can’t go out while I’m contagious.
Thanks so much for the prayers! I greatly appreciate it.

Colds suck. Not being able to breathe out of your nose sucks. My own Apple watch alerted me twice this week. Sure. I probably had a feaver in the night. Fun.

@FourWalls Well my nose is still stuffed a little, but it is allowing me to smell stuff again. Joy.

I wish I could get in there and say, “Yes, dear watch, I have covid.”
My left nostril is stopped up, and you’re right, that’s SOOOOOO annoying!!!

Nothing wrong with helping a person out who isn't as old as the years make her out to be.
I hope you sleep better tonight than you did last night.

I did sleep better! However, the watch was still upset. I didn’t take Tylenol before I went to bed so things were still off.

@DaddyEvil — temp is still high, breathing was still off, and pulse was still high. Other than that, I’m fine.

I don’t like to sneeze a lot, especially because I’m not a “dainty” sneezer (those silent “choo” people) but a full-body sneezer. I did end up with a hairline fracture of a rib once from sneezing so much.

@Fleura — I tend to blame all of the coughing I did with the bronchitis before it as the more contributing factor. It was just the sneeze that broke the camel’s back…well, rib.

Oh, yeah, four cups of hot tea last night, two cups this morning for lunch along with the cold tea. And Gatorade!

@FourWalls The Gatorade is good. Tea tends to be a diuretic.

I’ve been in bed most of the day, I only went out to feed the critters (or as my next-door neighbor said, “give covid to the squirrels”
).
).
