Question of the Day: What food or snack would you hate to give up for a year if you had too?

There are many varieties of food we develop a fondness for over the years; some favorites we might even eat multiple times a week. Some people develop their cravings growing up as a child and younger adult carrying over their love of that food item into adulthood. Maybe it was a special meal your mom always made, or perhaps a dessert you developed a desire for like ice cream. In my case I would hate to part with pizza. Growing up our family always ordered a pizza from a local pizzeria or restaurant pretty much every week of the year. It was a break for mom where she didn't have to cook, everyone in my family enjoyed it, and a great pizza felt like you were getting a special treat. I guess I carried that social and emotional feeling with me into adulthood. It felt like pizza was a food I could not go without. Fun fact: when I first ate pizza, I disliked the front, chopping it off, preferring just the crusty back piece. Probably the reason I seek out crispy pizza over the doughy kind. So, what food would you find difficult to abstain from for one year? Photo- Pinterest

I would say spaghetti and meatballs. But then it might be Mexican food. Golly, can I have two choices?

I am of the age and mindset that focuses on healthy more than tasty. I gave up most of my favorite foods years ago, so l am good with anything. However, l love peanut butter (natural) and l would hate to have to give that up too.

Burger. I do not think I would be happy to give up big juicy meaty beef burgers. We had a Burger tonight from our fave takeaways. It was really great And I could not give burgers up willingly.

That’s a good question. Probably grilled chicken, as lame as that sounds. You can do so much with it, and to me, not a lot of healthy things taste good other than fruit. It used to be anything pasta, but these days I feel like I could easily give that up.

Nothing. When George was in the hospital, I went back to eating once a day. I survived on apple juice, burgers from the hospital cafiteria, and not much else. I lost around 30 pounds in two months.

Pasta, I am Italian, but not a southern, so I do not care for pizza, but I like pasta, tortellini, ravioli, lasagne.
