Question of the Day: What food or snack would you hate to give up for a year if you had too?

There are many varieties of food we develop a fondness for over the years; some favorites we might even eat multiple times a week. Some people develop their cravings growing up as a child and younger adult carrying over their love of that food item into adulthood. Maybe it was a special meal your mom always made, or perhaps a dessert you developed a desire for like ice cream.
In my case I would hate to part with pizza. Growing up our family always ordered a pizza from a local pizzeria or restaurant pretty much every week of the year. It was a break for mom where she didn't have to cook, everyone in my family enjoyed it, and a great pizza felt like you were getting a special treat. I guess I carried that social and emotional feeling with me into adulthood. It felt like pizza was a food I could not go without.
Fun fact: when I first ate pizza, I disliked the front, chopping it off, preferring just the crusty back piece. Probably the reason I seek out crispy pizza over the doughy kind.
So, what food would you find difficult to abstain from for one year?

Yes, and potatoes are very good for you too. Helps with digestion health, rich in vitamin C, and are a great energy source too.
In the U.S. some people would have trouble giving up some of these items:
-Mac & cheese, BBQ Spare Ribs, Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Oh yes, coffee! I would miss starting off my day with it too. And although it would be good to not eat bread, I would be lost not being able to make a sandwich with it, lol.
Some other food favorites people may not want to give up:
-French Fries, Chili, apple pie, onion rings, mozzarella sticks...
Any of these other choices you would hate to give up?

Because of my kidney disease, I have had to cut out many of my favorites -- pizza, Chinese, dairy, so many other things. I do have cheat days though. I can't do without some of these foods forever.

Burger.
I do not think I would be happy to give up big juicy meaty beef burgers.
We had a Burger tonight from our fave takeaways.
It was really great
And I could not give burgers up willingly.

Yes, good one! It is estimated in the U.S. 50 billion burgers are consumed by people each year.
Just look at all the fast-food places and restaurants which serve them.

That’s a good question. Probably grilled chicken, as lame as that sounds. You can do so much with it, and to me, not a lot of healthy things taste good other than fruit. It used to be anything pasta, but these days I feel like I could easily give that up.

Actually, chicken is a good choice because so many make it part of their weekly foods for dinner. I think that one would be difficult for some to go without for a year.
As much as I like pasta, especially lasagna, I probably could find something else too.

@dgobucks226 Possibly a hamburger. I can go months without a hamburger, and then get an undeniable craving. I did last week! So going with a hamburger for that long might prove to be really tough.

@LadyDuck Even though we did not invent it, in the U.S. apple pie has become an American staple dessert very popular during holidays like July 4th.

Nothing. When George was in the hospital, I went back to eating once a day. I survived on apple juice, burgers from the hospital cafiteria, and not much else. I lost around 30 pounds in two months.

Well, chicken is definitely part of many people's diets, so great pick! So, many of us suffer from a sweet tooth and chocolate fulfills that pleasure nicely.
Some other food favorites people may not want to give up:
-Mac & cheese, BBQ Spare Ribs, Grilled Cheese Sandwich. And perhaps in the UK fish & chips, shepherd's pie, Yorkshire pudding and a nice roast.
