It is supposed to continue snowing

It is possibly six inches deep. I have not gone out to check. The "second wave" of this storm is predicted to last until noon tomorrow.
I have seen a couple of semi trucks go down our little street. I think because it is a less hilly drive than the business route. I maybe have seen an entire handful of drivers besides them all day.
In the dark I cannot tell if it is still snowing. I have not seen anyone plowing yet.
We already decided we will not go to church tomorrow. Many services are cancelled.
I may do some online training for work, to learn more about teaching reading to kids who struggle or have learning disabilities. I think it will help me finish the year strong.

I've only heard a couple of vehicles going out down the street and the road grader came through early this afternoon. I haven't been outside to check how deep it is but I can see it piled up on the neighbor's car. It looks about 8 inches deep.
The forecast says we may get another 6 inches tonight and tomorrow. It hasn't stopped snowing since it started yesterday evening/last night.
If you go anywhere, please be very careful.

We did not go anywhere until late afternoon on Monday. The forecast was wrong about snow all day Sunday. Bob is very experienced at snow driving.

@GardenGerty I've driven on snow for years because I had to get to work. Now that I don't HAVE to drive on snow/ice, I'm not doing it. There isn't anything we need bad enough to make me drive on snow.
We got more snow yesterday evening/tonight. Tiny flakes but it is snowing again.

The cough and stuff has “broken,” and I’m exhausted. I wouldn’t go out if I could! Glad to have “forced” rest time.
Y’all stay safe and warm!

Even if it meant enforced rest, I do not want any nasty bugs.

That sounds like a good plan for tomorrow. I can hear the sleet against my windows, and I see tiny flakes of snow hitting the streetlight out back. I guess the worst hit is later tonight, and stalls around noon, like you.
My dad, the sweet man, thinks he can come over tomorrow to watch the NFL playoff game with me, but I’m not letting him if it’s going to be as bad as they say.

Best to stay off the road while it is still falling. My opinion, for what it is worth.

If we had 6 inches of snow everything would just come to a halt.
Everything would be cancelled
The second wave, I hope it isn't much of a wave. 6 inches already is plenty

The second wave did not make it to us, so we got "only" six inches. Nice bit of moisture for the next wheat crop.

We have gas heat, but the fan that distributes it is electric. I have a gas stove and oven, but they have electric starters. I can use a match to light burners, though. In ten years time we have only once had a serious outage though.

Looking back I think we used to get more snow than this. I know it varies year to year. I have pictures of my son at 4 years old walking on a sidewalk with snow as tall as he was on both sides.

Our church has services on Facebook. It is different from in person but it is fine. The pastor was encouraging people to stay at home.

@GardenGerty - Here in Italy we can follow the Mass on TV. My Mom did when she did not feel to go out in the cold.

I hope these storms pass by soon, However, snow and ice is one thing I can understand but why do the temps ahve to bounce like a yo yo in Florida, Today and tomorrow 70s/80s and Tuesday into the 40s.

It is bouncing here as well. One night it was -11, then by Wednesday it was up to the 40's.

I haven't checked out the window lately. I will do that when I'm done here. All I know is that it's COLD. Stay safe and warm.

Curl up in your blankets and read a good book or watch a good show. Have a nice nap. It is pretty cold, so I am glad you are safe and warm.

@GardenGerty Yep. My heart goes out to everyone who is homeless in this kind of weather. I could never do it.

We have not seen a plow yet and the streets are terrible. They do usually plow all night long, so time will tell on that. I think all of our churches are closed tomorrow. We had some businesses close early this evening so that their employees could get home safely, which I thought was a great idea.
Stay safe and warm, Heather

That is how it was with local and not so local businesses. They either did not open or they closed early.

We had a lot of businesses, restaurants, etc. closed for several days. People were complaining that there were very few places to get their pizza delivered, good grief! If the place is closed, no one is going to be able to deliver pizza in a blizzard!
