Ugh it is rough out there

I woke up from my nap and decided to go clear off the car again. It isn't snowing at this point. We are at the freezing rain stage right now. In any case the road hasn't been plowed so I had a tough time even getting to my little car. I cleared it off without much issue. It was getting back to the building that was the challenge. I was stuck and almost had to like crawl through the snow. The autistic guy was out there and saw me struggling so he came over to help me. 3 times he took my hands to help me get over the mounds of snow. I was so grateful that he was there. I think it is supposed to switch back over to snow but screw it. I will deal with that tomorrow hopefully after they finally plow around here. Its not like I will be driving into work on Tuesday anyway.

I wouldn't go out on the cold. If you go to sleep tonight and it snows, the car will be buried when you get up anyway.. Snow covering a car actually keeps it insulated against the cold which can save the battery. Snow also doesn't cause rust or body defects I would leave it alone lol

I’m with Jim here! I wouldn’t bother until it’s necessary and the roads are clear. Keep warm. Hopefully you have a chivalrous gentleman who will sort it out for you. I would, if I lived in your block. Call me old-fashioned, but I love helping a damsel in distress!

That sounds difficult. Do be careful - even if you have to crawl it's better than falling and breaking something!

You need somewhere to garage the car, or at least get it under cover. I have my car in a garage and watch ‘shaking my head’ at those who leave their car exposed to the elements whilst keeping tat dry in their garage.

I hope you don't get much freezing rain... It's always more of a pain than the snow ever is. I'm glad somebody was close enough to notice you needed help and was willing to help you. I can't tell if the snow we already have is blowing around now or if we're still getting more. The app on my phone indicates we're getting more but only in small amounts. The road grader just cleared the street in front of the house but I'm glad I won't be driving on until the warming temp this next week clears it all off. It still looks slippery as all get out.

Good thing he was there to help you. Certainly sounds like a big mess there. We probably have about a foot so far (from what I can tell from looking out the window). No way would I chance going outside right now.
