I Went Out

First, if you remember, this morning my apartment complex turned off our water with no warning or explanation. On the advice of a couple of you, I made a call, but had to leave a message. Anyway, in the meantime, a friend needed me to come by so I took this occasion to go to the post office too. It also seemed wise to grab some water, so that was the first thing I did. Then I went to the post office, then to my friend’s house. We talked for a good long while, and I got to give him some dog treats for his two dogs that Sadie didn’t want.
BUT, when I got back the water was back on. Which was good, because no one has called me back from before. It’s okay since the water is back on, but I do want to know what to do if this place tries to get away with us being here over 30 hours with no water again. I’ll find that out, I’m sure.
The streets are fine to me. It’s the parking lots and neighborhoods that are the problem. Sure, it will melt and re-freeze, but the main problem is just getting out of where you live. Oklahoma City schools are closed again tomorrow, but oddly, my city’s schools aren’t (my city is right next to OKC). It’s odd, but honestly they should be open.
What about things where you are?
Edit: Actually, our schools are closed again.

We are on a roller coaster with 30s this morning; then they say tomorrow temps go up and then down again on Saturday,

I'm glad you have water back. I am also glad the roads are safe. I was worried when I started this post that you had had issues out there driving.
Did you get to see the hotel I sent you the video of?

@thislittlepennyearns Oh yeah. It’s in a prime location so I knew they’d hightail it to get it running sufficiently.

We actually don't have water here today either, not sure what's going on today with water issues. So strange.

I think the main roads are OK, but not the residential areas.

I'm glad you came home and the water is back on. I hope you can find out what your rights are in case it happens again.
I haven't been out but from what I see on our Facebook township page the major streets are clear but it's all the side streets and parking lots that are slippery and a mess. I'm glad I don't have to go anywhere.

The schools are closed again except for our township. I don't know why.

The high temp today was 14 degrees, Currently it's 4 degrees, will shortly be back below zero. We aren't getting near to 32 until like next week? What we have on the ground isn't going anywhere. Currently black ice everywhere. A lot of things are closed, at least closed after 5 PM even if they are usually open. Near me, I know the local grocery closed at 5 PM rather than 10, and Dollar Tree and Dollar General were locked up and dark. Not hardly anyone is out anywhere, it's just too slick and nasty. Some schools are opening tomorrow on a 2 hour delay. Some are not. It's all mixed up, and the busses will never get out to the outlying areas to pick up the kids who ride a bus. Very confusing to say the least.
