A pool buddy helped me out last night

She is someone that I don't see aside from at the pool though I'd love to hang out with them more. She and her wife are a lot of fun. Anyway I was texting her about the complex manager shoveling out my parking spot last night. I complained that the sidewalks were still insane and there was no easy way to get to the dumpsters for garbage and recycles. I was like "I'm going to wind up with maggots or some rotting stink before I can get to the dumpsters". Like 10 minutes later there was a knock on the door and it was Trish. She was like "give me the garbage!" I was shocked but I did. Then she said "and the recycles!" She is one tough broad and said she had to take her stuff out anyway so she'd do it for me too. I was so appreciative of that. I've been very lucky over the past week. Living alone causes challenges for me. I mean mentally I can handle it but there are some things that I just can't do. After the snow storm I've had a coworker shovel out my car, coworkers drive me to/from work, a neighbor shovel out my reserved spot, and now a neighbor take out the trash for me. It is great to have good friends who will help me out. For me I can cook or bake something for them in return. I can cover a class for them. I don't have many great skills but I do try to help people when I can. I appreciate that they are there for me as well.
