Yeah, I was gone from 8:30am to 4pm, not exactly a two week trek to the Himalayas. We spent time at my sister’s house, took her to Mad Eats (pictured is my Tuna Poke Bowl), and then made it to the birthday party of my dad’s friend at 1pm. I told him to turn the car off, but even with a 27 F temperature, being in the sun kept me plenty warm. They stayed 35 minutes, and then we headed home. His friend really is incredible. He’s 70, hikes the rim of the Grand Canyon every year, and although he beat the cancer he had into being undetectable, they said it IS somewhere in his body. Yet, he’s only about to retire this year from his church. What a guy! Anyway, I enjoyed seeing my sister and her family. It was a good time.
