What’s going on with you guys? I finally got some good sleep last night, thankfully. I’m about to go mail my absentee ballot for city council, and when I looked up the candidates, I found one got his MBA at the same university I attended. The other candidate actually came and knocked on my door, but when it came down to it, I liked one of their ideas better than the other.
Any weekend plans?

So happy to hear that you are voting! So many people only vote in national elections, and sit on the sidelines for local elections. I know in my city of 150,000 that only about 9,000 actually show up to vote in local elections.

@AmbiePam I have always been one to take my voting privilege seriously, but I also worked in municipal government for 30+ years, so I knew firsthand the importance of voting in local elections. Who we elect locally makes as much of a difference in our lives as who we elect for President; maybe even more so since our lives are affected more by the choices in our own communities versus those at the national level.

Slogging through papers (though still not as many as that crazy Coast Guard job), and texting back and forth with the HR person most of the day.

I'm glad you are voting.
We don't really have any plans for tomorrow as of yet. I really hope it stays that way too.

Sounds like a pretty productive day, and nice job finally getting some good sleep. It’s always interesting when you realize you have some kind of connection with a candidate, even a small one like going to the same university. Door-to-door campaigning still feels very personal too. In the end, I agree that the ideas matter more than anything else.
As for the weekend, I’m planning to keep it low-key and get a few things done. How about you?

Well, I’m still kind of recouping from being under the weather, so I might not do much. Sunday is church, and then Sunday night is the biggest sports game of the year in America. It’s the Super Bowl, the most anticipated American football game of the year. I’ll be watching that on Sunday night.

No elections going on here now, however I was thinking I should call my congressman and ask him to go along with a Trump impeachment. He is a diehard though, and don't think it would make a bit of difference. It may be premature anyway. He has done town halls and any questions considered too much like criticism are muted..or not put thru .yeah "Democracy in America today "
Good you are voting your conscience

No exciting plans for the weekend but I don't care. I'm happy to just let the weekend happen. Sometimes they turn out better than ones where there's so much going on.
Yay for you getting some really good sleep.

Didn't sleep more than 3 hours. Lately because of headaches, I've had to ditch my love of playing drums, and try to do as much as I can with Patreon, which is the only reason I'm still alive, so I try to upload as much as I can, find hard-to-find archives for those interested.
