My Clown Is Gone

I let her outside after I posted this morning. Then when I went to put Duke and Patch out before leaving for the lunch I found my baby girl laying by the door. She was gone that fast. The house is now way too quiet. Jill doberman was my barky butt. My pain in the butt. My clown who was always happy go lucky.
The other 2 are still looking for her even though they know she is gone. Patch ran to the back room and looked for her. Duke was looking at Jill's crate when I put him in the back room to leave. I would not have went to the lunch but I promised to take a calendar to a couple of people.
At least we seen a friend who hadn't been there for a couple of months.
The house is too empty right now.

@DianneN As a breed they are known for heart problems. But she never showed any signs. She ate this morning, pestered us, and fought with Patch border collie like normal. Duke her daddy did have a stroke last fall we think. But he pulled through it. She was 10 so on the upper side of the average life expectancy. It was just a huge shock to see her vibrant and happy and then gone.

I know you will miss her terribly.
Please don't feel badly that you weren't home when she passed. Animals are smart, she may have decided now was the time and spared you...it seems that's how it often goes.

That is such an adorable photo. So sorry for your loss; it makes me so sad, but imagine her up there chasing butterflies so free now.
