Today turned into an unexpected busy day. I got up thinking it was going to be just a routine day when my older daughter asked if I wanted to get out of the house and run some errands.
Being cooped up with all this bad weather made me jump at the chance.
We ran her errands and also stopped at the Dollar Tree which is aways fun.
Since neither of us felt like cooking tonight we decided to get rotisserie chickens at Sams Club.
I love their rotisserie chickens so I'm really looking forward to tonights dinner. Decided on sweet potatoes and some leftover roasted cauliflower as our sides.
I'm sure my older daughter and her family will be happy with their chicken dinner and I don't remember which one of us thought of the idea but I'm glad one of us did.

Hubby used to get rotisserie chickens all the time from Walmart and Giant Eagle. Sometimes he would save me some white meat.
I'll have my usual -- turkey/vegan cheese sandwich, unsalted chips, raspberries

Those rotisserie chickens come in handy, delicious and affordable. We always have some left so works good for additional meals.
I've never had vegan cheese but I do like a turkey, cheese combo

It certainly was fun getting out of the house after being stuck inside for so long. This winder has been brutal. Spending time with my daughter was an added bonus and we rarely get alone time together.

I can never make a rotisserie chicken as good as the ones I can buy. It's so much trouble to cook one yourself when buying one is way more affordable and certainly easier when you just had to add sides.

Sams does have really good rotisserie chickens. It was a good choice and only having to add some sides for dinner was an added bonus.

I had a new thing Chicken Schwarma. I found It pretty affordably priced at Trader Joe's. I cooked it in the slow cooker and it was good. nice with rice and salad.

I love chicken. Glad you got out of the house and had a nice time. We are having meat loaf and I made scalloped potatoes and green beans. Son asked for the meal and fortunately I had all the ingredients so it worked out!

Chicken is my favourite so when asked what I want to eat i always say chicken.
Tonight though we had gammon (ham) with fried potatoes and peas.
I had a cherry yogurt for pudding.
