I should have called first

Our pharmacy is a half hour from here, in Newton.
The ENT doctor said he was calling out a soothing cream for Bob. He had to have his nostril cauterized to stop the nose bleeds and that stings.
After I got off work we went to Newton, to the store, specifically to pick up the prescriptions. It was not there.
The pharmacy checked other stores in the chain to see if it went to one of them.
No record of it anywhere.
Bob says he does not need it, he is fine.
So I bought us fried chicken dinners from the deli.
Bob liked it, but hardly ate any of it.
He did like the guacamole I bought as a side for it, though.
Lesson learned, and relearned. If you were not going there anyway, call ahead and make sure the prescription is there.
No wonder I get so mentally tired out.

I'm glad our pharmacy is reliable. I'm sorry you made a trip for nothing.

Too much confidence I was sorry for my maintenance meds were run out of stick. My wife blamed me why I didn't buy earlier.

That's a mystery as to where it went. I guess the doctor didn't phone it in

That reminds me of a doctor refusing to call in my prescription. Said I had to come get it. Drove 36 minutes to get it, and when I got there he had forgotten to write it before he left. That was ten years ago, and I still get annoyed thinking about it.
I’m glad to hear Bob doesn’t feel like he needs the cream though.

My brother is furious with the place that does my sister-in-law’s prescriptions. He calls them and they say it’s ready. The app says it’s ready. Then he goes up there…and it’s not ready.

I'm sorry that happened. At least you got some good chicken dinners.
If you have Cortisone cream, that will help soothe his nostril, too.

It's really hard to keep on top of all these things sometimes. I feel like I'm looking after all Vince's goings-on as well as my own.

One of my son’s needed meds is often a scramble. Yesterday I went twice to the pharmacy and was finally told the order didn’t arrive as expected and would be in today. So I was there three times in 24 hours. It never helps to call. Sometimes when they are wildly busy you only get an automated response anyway. Getting meds divan truly be frustrating!!

I think that calling ahead is the best way to go.
Could the pharmacy not have phoned the doctor whilst you were there?
And maybe given you the meds with a doctor's say so.
But hey, a fried chicken dinner sounds good.
