29 Days Til Spring...can't wait

Happy Thursday Everyone! after yesterdays rain we have a cloudy, dismal day today. Possible rain overnight and more than likely tomorrow will be nasty. I would just sound like a broken record if I said I was tired of this winter 
My daughter is going away for the weekend with her friends. They planned a ski weekend up in the Pocono Mts but since there's almost 30 of them going (adults, kids, couples) they decided on a resort where they can all get their own rooms rather than an AIRbnb like they've done in the past. This is the first ski trip in a few years and I know my daughter is looking forward to a weekend away even though she doesn't ski. She'll be in the shopping group heading for the outlets and not the slopes.
Her one friend is coming here this evening and will spend the night so they can leave early tomorrow morning. It's been a long time since we had overnight company that wasn't family.
Later this afternoon Walmart is making a grocery delivery so I have everything I need for the next few days. Of course my older daughter only lives 5 min away so it's not like I'd be stuck if I needed something.
Other than that, nothing else is going on here.

Hope she enjoys .always nice to get away Day is proceeding. gonna charge my phone for a bit and then go out to do my steps. A bit chilly out gonna need my puffy jacket I think.

I wasn't feeling well this morning so skipped breakfast and just went to sleep. I'm still not feeling great but I've eaten a slice of potato bread and hoping my stomach will calm down now.
I just went out and brought in the mail. It's 66F with a nice wind blowing. 
The forecast predicts we'll drop down to 24F overnight and may have snow again. I'm really tired of winter! 
I'm back in bed now and will probably fall asleep again soon.

Sorry that you aren't feeling well today and hope that with enough rest you do soon.

I would be scared to ski, but I’m all for the shopping! I hope she has a good time, but I’m sure she will.
I’m laying low today because I have two appointments tomorrow. It is a pretty day to be outside though. This weekend does get colder though.

Even though I had a close friend who was an avid skier and would have gladly taught me (back in the good old days) how to ski I told him I had no intention of standing on any boards that didn't have brakes and go flying down a hill.
I'd be on the shopping trip too especially since there are outlets close by.

We have had wind and rain. I'm not real partial to the wind. Brr! AIRbnbs don't sound like something I'd want to share unless I was really good friends with the others. Especially for a weekend away. But that's just me. I enjoy my solitude.
Nice to have your other daughter so close. I have all mine right here with me. My granddaughter is in Washington.

My kids are grandkids are scattered but my oldest daughter is close and my youngest daughter lives with me. My son & his family and my middle daughter and family all live about an hour away so that's not too bad.
I certainly wouldn't want to stay in an Airbnb with that many people but a few close friends I would. Since they're so many a resort was perfect and everyone has their own rooms.

Hope your daughter has a wonderful time. A friend of ours has a place in Vermont and is up there almost every weekend. Her husband and three boys are skiers, but she isn’t. She drinks a lot of hot cocoa and shops.
