Happy Friday Everyone! it's really weird being here in the evening instead of the morning. Rain all day and it's just miserable.
My daughter is away for the weekend on a ski trip with friends. Her one friend came last night, stayed over and then they left for the resort the later part of this afternoon. Check-in wasn't until around 3-4pm so they hung out here. Originally they were going to go early but the weather was so bad they decided to wait.
I got a text before that they arrived safely and some friends were already there and others were delayed. All in all they should have a good time.
Meanwhile, I'm getting ready to make myself some dinner. I'm having coconut shrimp which I haven't had in ages. The best part is I don't have to share it 
I have some tv shows to catch up on tonight and over the weekend. I also have to pick my next book so I'll be browsing through my Kindle to see what jumps out at me. I just finished the last two books in the Alex Cross series by James Patterson so I'm ready to pick someone different this next choice.
My day flew by and I figured I'd pop on to say hi before the day disappears altogether.
How was your day? Anything fun planned for the weekend?
I have some tv shows to catch up on tonight and over the weekend. I also have to pick my next book so I'll be browsing through my Kindle to see what jumps out at me. I just finished the last two books in the Alex Cross series by James Patterson so I'm ready to pick someone different this next choice.

I'm sure they'll have a good time but not sure how much the weather will cooperate. At least there's plenty to do in the resort if they can't enjoy outside activities.

Cousin #3 and her family came over for pizza last night. The closing ceremonies for the Olympics are on tomorrow. Nothing else planned.

We're getting a "big" snow storm tomorrow into Monday (don't' know if you are) so it will look like the winter Olympics here by Monday 
Glad you had a nice visit with Cousin #3 and family. Can't go wrong with pizza

@LindaOHio the East coast is getting clobbered with this storm. Thankfully we didn't get hit as bad but it's still bad enough.

I'm glad they arrived safely. I'm sure they'll have a good time this weekend.
Nothing planned here. Pretty tried to talk me into going out for pizza but I still have most of the all-meat pizza still in the fridge. She's not happy with me right now. 
(I keep telling her I want Chinese but she isn't interested.

The weekend is ending with a blizzard here. I'm just so tired of winter. This year has been cold and horrible.
When you go out for pizza do you eat there or do take-out? sometimes when my daughter and I want different things we do take-out and go to two different places. We still eat together but just not in a restaurant per se.

@Marilynda1225 We always get take out. We don't want to catch whatever the other people eating there might have.
Pretty only asked because she knew I'd refuse. She doesn't want to spend the money eating out.

Looking forward to hearing about your bus trip on Tuesday.
This weekend is flying by and it's already Saturday evening. We're expecting a big snow storm tomorrow into Monday and they keep adding inches to the accumulation totals. Looks like a big mess

@JudyEv we're getting quite a few inches of snow but it's not too bad compared to some surrounding areas which are getting 12-18 inches and experiencing power outages.

I don’t have anything planned this weekend, but next week is my birthday weekend so I’ll save the fun for then.
Did you ever watch the Alex Cross series, I think on Amazon Prime? I was afraid it would have too much violence for me, but it sure looked interesting.

I tried to log in this morning but the site was down.
My son and daughter in law came by for an unexpected visit. My daughter in law wanted to go to Hobby Lobby and the one here is closest. Win win for me. I was happy to see them.
I haven't watched the Alex Cross series. I keep forgetting about it. Maybe I should check it out tonight since I really don't have anything to watch.

Weekend has come here already. Saturday at 2pm we will be attending the burial of our most trusted staff.
Sunday is for church. Other than that, nothing special is planned this weekend.

Happy they arrived safely and that the weather cleared enough for them to go.
I’m sure you will enjoy your alone time, but hope you don’t get lonely. You sound pretty upbeat, so stay that way.
Nothing fun planned for the weekend. Just hope to see our friend in the hospital and take it from there.

I was worried about them traveling to the resort but yes, glad they arrived safely. Now I can take off my worry hat and enjoy the weekend.
Hope you're able to visit your friend in the hospital. It's never fun when someone we care about is in the hospital.
