I knew for a fact that when I eat too much oysters, I will suffer from indigestion. But each and every single time it is served on the table, I simply cannot refuse to devour as much as I can. My sister and I love oysters even when we were still very young. That hasn't changed at all. Since her partner has been suffering from iron deficiency, he's been buying kilograms of oysters. I will never stop eating oysters though, would you?

I hear they are an aphrodisiac. Is that true? I dare not try them if it is.

I have never tasted an oyster. No one in my family will eat them, and they are expensive here.

My husband loves oysters, I do not, at least not raw oysters. I often bought when we lived in the south of France.

@LadyDuck I don't mind big and fat as long as they're tasty and a bit sweet.

@toniganzon France has many different kind of oysters, the one my husband likes are very similar to those I see in this photo. He does not like the Belon, he likes more the Fine de Claire, les Marennes Oléron et the small Bouzigues from the Mediterranean sea. He did not like a lot the American oysters, too big and fat.

@DaddyEvil My cousin is allergic to all seafood too but since he loves them, he would take antihistamine before eating any.

@toniganzon I have bad allergies to any type of seafood. I used to love scallops but the last time I ate any, I was in the hospital for three days. My doctor told me to avoid anything harvested from the ocean.

Ugh! You can actually tell from the smell if it's fresh or old. It's terrible that they served you that. Did you sue them?

It’s been a while since I have eaten oysters. Oysters are very expensive here. 1 piece costs at least 1.50 Euro.

Everyone of us have their favourite dishes. I have been a vegetarian. My food is very simple and in a little amount. So no question of indigestion. You'll never have indigestion if you chew every morsel as long as it turns into liquid. And never drink water and hour after you have taken your lunch or dinner.

I don't think never. I chewed everything carefully. Even if you chewed everything carefully it still depends on the type of food you eat. Have you tried raw oysters?

RAw oysters are great! Raw oysters are dipped in boiling water for a few seconds to retain the fresh taste.
