2/24/26 - Meals

23 days until spring. It's going to stay colder than I'd like; but so far we only have a coating of s**w. My heart breaks for those on the east coast that will be shoveling out for the next couple of days.
Spoke to cousin #2 last night. She leaves tomorrow morning (2/26). I hope she has a safe and easy trip.
Breakfast - Granola bar
Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Hamburger, baked beans, potato wedges, Mandarin oranges
Dessert/Snack - Nature's Bakery Brownie, low salt nuts, 70% dark chocolate
Dinner - Turkey/vegan cheese sandwich, veggie straws, Bing cherries

The temps will be up and down the next week; but then will warm up to 40. I'm hoping it stays around that temperature or above.

I had a KILLER of a smoked turkey sandwich at a BBQ place in Starkville, Mississippi for lunch. A Lean Cuisine chicken veggie & pasta with marinara sauce for dinner. Fiber too!

I am upset that the plow that removes snow from my road didn’t remove it wide enough and I had to shovel some of that snow that is in the middle of the road just so that the sanitation people will be able to reach my garbage and compost bins and take the stuff.
For the past three dinners I’ve been eating the same thing. Chicken broth with noodles, and then chicken wings with boiled Basmati rice and a pickle on the side. I still have more chicken broth left, but I don’t know what else I’m gonna eat because just chicken broth by itself will not fill me up much. I have not taken out fish from the freezer, so maybe I’ll just do pasta.

Yes, hope she has a safe trip. I wonder what her dog thinks about the whole thing? Chicken, Brussels sprouts, baked potato

Sounds well balanced.
Not a very well defined Breakfast and Lunch but well we had Tea and some Fritters and Blueberry cake.
Dinner was a Legume in liquid form with Indian Wheat Flour Bread (Roti).
Plus in between had Banana and some sweets.
Not very healthy sounding but not very unhealthy as well.

My cousin's from New Jersey and yesterday she sent me a video of her twins shoveling this thick snow trying to dig out their car. Unfortunately, they didn't succeed and decided to just stay home all day.

Hope your cousin has a safe trip and settles into the new home easily.
We had an inch of that white stuff this morning, a little more tomorrow expected but then they're saying we might get a big storm on Monday.

Well good luck to her on her trip. Sounds like interesting meals. I had too many noodles. Had I known we were having them at my moms, I would have chose a different first meal of the day
