Done with the endoscopy

I freaked myself out over, well, I won't say nothing but not much. I cried as they transported me down there. I cried when they wheeled me into the room. The doctor and nurses were all nice but I was still petrified. The anaesthesiologist put an oxygen tube into my nose and hooked it around my ears. I was out within I'd say 30 seconds.
Then I woke up in the recovery area. When the doctor saw I was up he handed me a copy of the report and went over it with me. He found some things (ulcers, hypertensive vessels, etc.) but no internal bleeding or polyps. He didn't biopsy anything. He said he is going to change some of my medications and to return in 8 weeks to do it again.
So that's 1 doctor dealt with. Now I'm just waiting on the hematologist. We'll see what he has to say.

My son had an endoscopy again a few weeks ago. He says he never remembers any of it at all except that he wakes up super thirsty!!
It’s ok to cry when you’re scared. I hope the hematologist is helpful!

You were braver than I would have been
I wouldn't have let them do that to me
The thought of that petrified me

When I had one done a couple years ago, they sprayed something in my throat to freeze it, and I couldn't breathe. I was about to start panicking but luckily the general anesthetic kicked in and I was completely out of it for however long they messed around down my throat. It was scary.

That doesn't sound too bad, at least. I am sorry you worried that much over it, though.
