I'm Rather Embarrassed Now

The mobile x-ray folks called. When I told them that I am upstairs they weren't sure they could get the machinery up the stairs. So the doctor's assistant called to see if we could do a out patient one. I explained that I have social anxiety and am not able to just go--- i have to have some time to plan it out for my mind to be able to go forward. I told him I think I may have pneumonia. He agreed. I feel like an idiot. Thanks to Housing and how we have to have our furniture in the living room the x-ray equipment would not fit there either. My mind is going back and forth. I need to get the x-ray but I can't go outside. Oh,boy! So infantile. Woe is me.

As Eva and Lenore suggested, just go, and take your grandson and daughter for support. It has to be done, if you have pneumonia you need to know to get proper meds, etc. Your kiddos need you, take care of yourself and then you can work on getting better.

Just go, huh? I've been hearing that so much. People who don't know anything about anxiety. Just do it. It seems so easy to those who don't suffer from it. But thanks. I will see what tomorrow holds.

@celticeagle I know about anxiety. It took me literally 30 years to get a blood test. I think you are very important. It's time to lean on your daughter and go get help.

@celticeagle I don't mean it in a bad way. We just want you to be OK, and if you need medical attention, and they can't come to you...well, there doesn't seem to be an option. I just know from what all you have shared here, you love your family very much, and they love you deeply as well. I hate to think of you struggling to breathe.

I agree with what Lenore says I think you can go outside if the circumstances demand it I know your anxiety is real and I know how difficult to manage some situations it can be But I think this is serious enough to take priority

@celticeagle I definitely hope so. You could always move the furniture while they came in with the x-ray machine and then move the furniture back again after they leave.

If you need to get checked, you have to find a way to safely get it done and then return to your home. I wish you the best of luck. Get some natural valerian drops I use them when I need to calm my anxiety,

Thank you. I didn't have to live. Thought I had pneumonia and then suddenly I'm breathing okay. Whatever it was didn't stick.

As others have suggested, take your daughter and grandson along. This is something that must be done if you have pneumonia or another serious illness. Good luck.

You have some hard questions you have to anser. How badly do you want to live? What do you want your family to do, if you stop breathing/can't breathe? You need to weigh thease things against your fears.

Close your eyes, hang onto your daughter and go. I have needle phobia. I was fortunate that a lab allowed me to bring Rufus in when I finally submitted to blood tests. Sometimes you just have to do it. Take a sedative first?
