Getting tattoos together

My oldest daughter has wanted to get a tattoo for over a year. She wants Garfield. I told he we should get one together her Garfield and I’ll get Odie. She loved the idea.
I’m not a fan of Garfield but a mother daughter tattoo session will be nice. It will be her first tattoo.
I will pay for hers with my online earnings and I asked my husband to pay for mine as my birthday gift this year. We are scheduled to have it done the Monday before her birthday in May.
The photo is not my own I found it online and it is what we will be having tattooed on us.

@daddyevil she is getting hers on her shoulder. I was going to get mine under my left arm on my bicep but I’m not sure now. We might make the hands when put together form a heart which was her idea and a cute one.

I told my 14 year old niece, who wants a Sonic tattoo, to just make sure she’s willing to have the same design on her body as an 80 year old as she is now. Suddenly, she wasn’t sure she wanted a Sonic tattoo.
I understand wanting to share a bonding moment with your daughter. My parents weren’t/aren’t tattoo people, and I would have fainted if they had ever gotten one. But it’s so cool to share that with your daughter.

I don’t do tattoos but my son has his own tattoo business and does amazing work. Mother / daughter tattoos sound a great idea.

Those are super cute. I got my first a month before turning 50. It is a butterfly in memory of my granddaughter, who passed away, in 1999. Her name and the year is below it. Later that year, I got a modified cross with a rose and vines my son drew. It's pretty and a year later, added a vine with roses. I was going to have my grandchildren names on each leaf but never went back. Now turning 67, my skin isn't so firm and decided no more.
