11 days until spring. Cousin #2 now says that she wants me to buy a house near hers and that she wants her space. So there's no chance of living with her. I would have to go through the enormity of looking for a house, purchasing it, moving my stuff after cleaning out 54 years of accumulation, etc. The new lady (I will call her J from now on), will be coming today to pick up the groceries, etc. Prices of crude oil were rising close to $120 per barrel. Breakfast - PB&J sandwich Lunch - Chicken patties, broccoli, tater tots, yogurt Dessert/Snack - N/A Dinner - PB&J sandwich, potato poppables, yogurt What did you eat yesterday? Photo Credit: Pixabay

I think that's probably the right decision but if you moved in with her you'd still have to go through all your stuff.

@LindaOHio It will be something with which to occupy yourself in the weeks to come maybe.

Yes, I need to cut down my possessions by at least half.

I wish you well in paring things down. My older sister is moving abroad and having to give up most of her things, and I am trying to cut down on a lot of my own stuff. It's just boggling how many things we end up with later in life.

Yes I have rooms full of boxes of "stuff". Some of it is collectibles. Don't know what I'm going to do with those.

@LindaOHio I've had some success selling on eBay. It just takes some time to make the listings. I definitely need to do more of that! It's a lot easier to part with something if you know it's going to someone who will appreciate it, and getting some money for it doesn't hurt.

The only thing I can say right now is give this plenty of thought, All the logistics can work out but you have to decide if it's something you want to do. Its not like you have to decide today so maybe you'll be very happy with the new lady J and just want to stay put,

Maybe. Cousin #2 wants me to move down to Homosassa in a house near hers. That's a huge project. At my age I'm not sure I want to attempt it.

Well that is good she still wants you near, but sorry it was not how she explained before. That would be a very big task to do all that....

So a move is out of the question now? Yesterday, I had a beef enchilada, a cheese enchilada, Mexican corn, and a pear.

Sounds better than moving in

Are you ready to consider moving already? It has only been a little over a year since your loss, and you have withstood so many changes and fought so many battles during that time. I would really consider it, and make the very best choice for you. You had tater tots, I love tater tots, we have them every so often too.

Let me tell you something. I hated the idea to get rid of 55 years of accumulation. But I am so glad that we did. Imagine living in Florida, no more snow, very few cold days and near cousin #2 who can be of great help. Cousin #2 may find a house for you.

Hmm... I would say her invitation to live with her was the vodka talking... But it's possible she's hoping you'll buy a house in Florida and let her live with you. (That's just a guess, of course.) I keep watching gas prices here to see when they start bouncing out of sight. So far we've had one 30 cent a gallon jump but that's it. (Gas is at $3.00 a gallon here.) I hope J. does a good job for you. I ate some scrambled eggs with diced turkey, onions and green peppers in them for breakfast, no lunch and Pretty made another barbecue chicken sandwich for me for supper. I ate part of a Reese's Chocolate Egg but didn't like it and threw the rest away. Yucky!!!

That would probably be a better thing to do given her moods. Sorry about that

I was afraid Cousin #2 was going to flake on you. Stay in your lovely home and let J take care of you
