Weekends are the Busiest.

Weekends used to be my rest. That was a year ago when my daughter was still in high school. She is a freshman now, and I am the busiest on weekends. Since she is staying at the condo and goes home on the weekend when she can. Why am I busy then? Of course, I miss my baby girl and try to make the most of the time with her. I usually prepare food and snacks for her to bring with her since her schedule is now much more hectic. Between classes and studying, I know she sometimes doesn’t have the time or energy to cook proper meals. So I make sure she goes back with containers of home-cooked food, fruits, and little snacks she likes. Aside from cooking, we also try to squeeze in some bonding time. Sometimes we go out to the mall and talk about how her week went. I listen to her stories about school, her classmates, and the new things she’s learning. Weekends may be busier for me these days, but my heart is always full. Because no matter how grown up she gets, she will always be my baby girl. And it's all worth it if spending my weekends means cooking, preparing things for her, and enjoying our little moments together. Are you busy on weekends too?
