Still windy

The trash can has blown over, and I need to take some more out, but that is not happening yet. The wind is dreadful, and I am just staying inside. In fact, I printed some coloring pages and spent some time using color pencils while Bob sat up and drank a protein drink. I am also riding my fitness bike and listening to worship music CD's. Bob is back in bed. Lots of things need to be done. More of that cedar tree came down. I have that to look forward to. I may have said this, but tomorrow I am going to go apply for Medicaid for Bob. Mainly because it may lead to me becoming his paid caregiver, as I was for my sister. I am pretty sure I will need to quit my job to be home and keep him safe. For now I am going to do some more online stuff. I got my shower, and I got dressed, but I did not put my shoes on yet. My feet are cold. You guys, stay warm. I will pop in again later.

My area is going to deal with showers later this evening followed by chilly temperatures though Tuesday night.

I hope everything works out for you both. You need to make a list of everything Bob needs help with now. Medicaid will ask you to specify exactly what you help him do and you get paid on that basis. (They have a chart that supposedly tell them how long each item you help him do should take you. You're paid by the hour.) Even things he says are too embarrassing to tell people. After the Medicaid representative came and talked to us, we had to call them back and add more things to their list. I certainly didn't want to tell the guy they sent that I need help getting dressed when I can't see or that Pretty has to scrub my back when I shower.

I hope you're able to get Medicaid. It would hopefully make it easier for you.

Have you thought about applying for disability for Bob in addition to the Medicaid? Or is he already retired?

I hope Bob is going to be ok Heather. I hope it's easier for you to become a paid care giver than it was for me here on Scotland. We have wheelie bins One fell over on the gale the other night and the lid wasn't shut The wind blew into it, and it flew through the air and crashed into a Tesla car. Ouch some repair bill I bet

I am praying for you, Heather. Having Medicaid is going to help tremendously, but having to quit your job must feel monumental. Of course, Bob is worth it.

Thank you for mentioning the fitness bike. Just last night (it's Monday morning here), my son told me to use the fitness bike. He did before going to bed, I didn't. So I just mightt, laster today.

Many blessings to Bob and keeping him in my prayers. Our skies are threatening rain.

I am sure that you would worry too much right now if you weren't home all day and he was by himself. I hope you can get the Medicaid and can stay home with him, Heather. Prayers for both of you.

It's been blowing like a mad dog here 50-60mph trash cans blown all over the place, I have mine chained to a post to keep it in place. Trees swaying & snapping, it's been a very windy day with high wind warnings, I'll be so glad when we get this 1 tree down right at the cabin where I sleep.
