It is legal to marry your first cousin in Florida

You can also marry your brother/sister, aunt/uncle, and niece/nephew. Florida state lawmakers voted down a bill stating that after July 1 "incestuous marriages" would not be recognized. A state representative said: "There are plenty of people here, and there are plenty of people you can find to be your lifelong partner without looking to your first cousin." He also said that he expects another vote on the issue in the near future.
Most states in the US have made incestuous marriage illegal. Florida is not one of them.

In Florida, marriage between first cousins is legal, as the state has no restrictions on this type of union.
However, marriages between closer relatives, such as siblings or parents and children, are prohibited and considered incestuous under state law
